1969 Fender Mustang Bass demo

Straight from 1969, we have a favourite of Bill Wyman, the competition stripe Mustang Bass.
A glorious 30" of vintage low end, it was used by Wyman during the early 1970's on tour and on record.

This obviously isn't actually his as that sold for $384,000 recently at auction but this is the same year and same model. Matching headstock - check. Racing stripe - check. Rare competition orange finish - check.

It's no less of a bass for having a shorter scale and, for guitarists like me who may not have the best technique in the world, it's great. I'm working on playing better but please excuse my sloppy playing you funkateers of 4 string out there with your slappetty slapping and popping.

I'm playing through my Fender Rumble 40 from the XLR output. Great sound I get with this and the entire amp was £225! Such a great value amp. 3 pre-sets and combinations thereof too. I'm using the Vintage pre-set for this demo which is a more mellow beefy tone.

Listen on big speakers for the full effect!
I listened on my phone and it sounds like a mouse running on a sheet of rubber.

My other video demo of the Fender Rumble 40 uses this bass too but I thought I would do a specific one as the bass will at some time be going to my friend who owns it.
