There's a song written by a 90's rock band called "Creed" that asks, "What's this life for?" I thank my God that I understand what it is for and have knowledge of what the coming days will bring. The Lord created everything for His good pleasure. Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. God hates evil, but he's allowing all this evil in the world for our sake's, so that we can come to Him in repentance and love and He can save us. That's the "why" He's allowing so much evil to continue. The parable of the wheat and the tares... He won't destroy the tares so that He doesn't destroy any of the wheat while doing so. It's so that He can save as many of us as possible. He's growing His crop, so to speak. James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. He became a man, Himself, as was the plan from the start, so He could dwell among His people as a man with them. He knows the exact, to the miniscule detail, perfect path to weeding out those who don't and won't love Him. So He created everything exactly as He did, to end up with the people that will love Him forever. He knows, with free will, that most will not choose Him, but will instead choose their own will and their own way. So He created a world where we can only glimpse the majesty and glory of God, so we could deny Him if we so choose, without His great and powerful presence causing us to choose out of fearinstead of our own pride. He hates the evil way that man has chosen for himself, but He's waiting, grieving at His heart, saving as many as absolutely possible, before He finally ends the misery and takes over. Then, He will take those that love Him into a perfect new universe, where there will be no pain, and no sorrow, nothing but joy and happiness, to enjoy for eternity! We only need love God, and believe the record He gave us in the Bible, and we can be part of that!

Jesus told professing Christians of His day to Repent, OR ELSE! This means us, too! Rev 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Jesus is talking about them who have the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which He hates! This doctrine is the same thing being taught today in churches all across the world! This is the doctrine that sexual sin is ok, that being gay is ok... fornication is ok... Are we taking God for granted as most so-called Christians do? Do we say, "Well, I said the prayer, so I'm saved."? Have we read the Bible? Don't we know that this attitude will be our destruction? Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Do we know that the Bible commands obedience, and that no, it does not say that simply saying a prayer will save your soul? Repentance means change! Christianity in the book of Acts and the instructions given us in the Epistles, and from Jesus in His letters to us, the church, was a very serious thing that prompted action and obedience! Jesus did NOT say, first go take care of your family and/or bid them goodbye. Luke 9:59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Are you blatantly ignoring Jesus' point blank instructions??? Are you one of the many who refuse to forsake their family even though they don't love Jesus? Jesus expects our works, the things we DO, to be perfect! This does not imply that we can be perfect, in any way. It means we can submit to God, and obey Him, and love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and THAT is what will make us perfect! When Jesus sent His disciples out on the mission trips, this is His instructions to us-ward in how we should treat those that refuse the Truth. And this includes our family! Mark 6:10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. 11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. We don't hang around the world, and be a friend to the world, we shake the dust off our feet and go find someone who will listen! A lesson on how subtle the lies of the devil are... It may seem like I'm beating a dead horse, or harping on the same subject too much, but the deception in the world is too important! I just finished reading a blasphemous article on a web site professing to be a "bible study guide", where they are teaching that we'll all have a second chance at the second resurrection when the dead are raised to be judged. This is the kind of lie the world loves to hear today. The kind of lie that the lukewarm "Christians" love to hear. It makes you think that you can just deny Christ all you want in this life, and do whatever you want, with the knowledge that you can just repent on judgment day and be saved anyway. Why would someone preach this nonsense? I can only guess that he or she is trying to get more people to subscribe to their service or buy more of their books, so they're willing to compromise on the precious truth of our Lord to gain followers and more money. That is pure wickedness. It is so vile and evil that it makes me sick. It's tickle my ear fancy. It's easy to listen to. It's awful. Jesus very clearly tells us in His word that there will be no second chances after you're given the opportunity in this life to make the right choice. Matt 25 gives us several examples of those who are not ready for Him and have not been obedient to Him when He returns: The ten virgins The man who traveled far and gave his money to his servants The separation of the sheep from the goats God will judge all. He is just and He is true and He is fair. We all have a chance NOW to make the right decision and follow Him. At the judgment seat, there won't be a second chance, and while judgment will be according to works, and we know that works don't save us, we also know that faith without works is dead. If we have no good works, we have no faith. And, without belief in, and obedience to the Lord Jesus, we will not be saved. Jesus told us of two resurrections in John 5:29, one of life and one of damnation. There is no second chance at the second resurrection. When we look at the example of Lazarus and the rich man, in Luke 16, we note that there is no way to cross the gulf between the good place and the bad place after death. At the second resurrection, if your name is not written in the book of life, you will be destroyed - Rev 20:15. In Rev 3:5 Jesus mentions that He will blot out the names of those who do not overcome, from the book of life (overcoming is by obedience to the Lord Jesus). The book of life contains the names of those have labored in the gospel (works that come after salvation and in obedience to the Lord) - Phil 4:3. Everyone who worships the Antichrist in Rev 13:8 do NOT have their names in the book of life. In 1 Cor 6:9 and Gal 5:21 Paul shows us that those who are disobedient will not inherit the kingdom of God (the will not be saved). It's the children of disobedience that the wrath of God is poured out on - Eph 5:6 and Col 3:16. If our name is written in the book of life, we're going to be part of the first resurrection when Jesus returns to gather His people, raising the dead who belong to Him first and then taking those who are alive and remain up to meet Him in the air. If you have not received a love of the truth, God will send a strong delusion that you would believe a lie! - 2 Thess 2:9-12. This is so important! Read that again!
