Donkey Kong Country Stage Only Walkthrough Part 14

Part 14! The finale!

Boss: King K. Rool

I've always called him King K'rool since a kid, I don't know why! I know it's King "K." Rool, but my habit stays, lol!

This boss is definitely the hardest boss in the game, in fact, I would even call him pretty tricky! :) You'll never beat him your first try, never ever! Unless you're playing on a emulator with save states of course, lol!

Phase 1 is the "running" phase. Jump over him when he runs toward you, then jump over his crown then on his head. Repeat 3 times. He increases his run number and speed after each hit, so count carefully so you know when he's gonna throw his crown. He always throws it after he stops running to the opposite side of the ship. 3 hits by you will stop the run phase.

Phase 2 is the cannonball phase. He'll jump to the other side of the ship and when he lands, cannon balls will start leap-frogging eachother from his direction toward you. Time your runs well and you'll avoid them... but I didn't, lol! After the cannonballs subside when they reach the other side, he'll throw his crown as usual. Hit him and he'll jump to the other side to repeat the cannon balls. but this time they'll come back when they reach the other side! Run under them as before and wait for his crown throw. The waves of cannonballs increase by 1 each hit. 3 hits in this phase will end it.

Phase 3 is a AHHHHH! moment! You'll never see it coming your first run and you'll likely take a hit, lol! It's hard to describe just where to stand in text to avoid his first jump, so just watch my video where I move to. After each jump phase, he'll throw his crown and increase the jump phase by 1, up to 2 times (3). Each phase his jumps get tighter and tighter together making it harder to run under him without taking a hit. I hope you learned the controls well, because you need to know how fast DK/Diddy accellerates. After 3 more hits, it's over! You beat the game! :D

This is a stage only walkthough. That means I ONLY covered how to get through the stages. I didn't seek out the bonus stages to achieve 101%.
