Fortnite Creative: Mystery At Croft Manor + Spray Code! (Read The Description)
Better do this before March 30th because past there you can't get the spray! So I'm putting this video up before others I have on the backburner as it's a high priority.
This is an adventure-style map where things go haywire in Croft Manor and we've gotta sort things out. There's a pretty wide variety of things to do here from puzzles to action to platforming. So it'll test all your skills. This will be my first play through it so it'll get all my reactions as I go.... then a second because I missed a collectable, lol!
....But man is it faster running through this a second time. XD You could easily do this in under 10 minutes with a bit of practice.

Fortnite Creative - jduth 100 Level Default Deathrun Part 2: Spiky Finale
With spikes being the dominant trap and reset button, it's only fair it continues here!
There's some impulse shenanigans to boot, but primarily spikes. What ended up surprising me is not only did I catch up to the people in the lead despite running through the tutorial, but I also overtook them and got to see the "boss" before someone else cleared it. I even thwarted someone impulsing people to their doom as another (unintended) obstacle, lol! That means either the people further ahead quit out (there definitely were some that left before finishing) or maybe they messed with each other so much they stalled themselves out of the lead. Their loss is my gain as I was actually worried I wouldn't be able to see the boss if they beat it before I did. I thought that I may have to do a second run as a solo just to reach the spot to show you it. But nope!
....Plus a tomato and a few zombies that seem oblivious to us. But that's at the very end of the place. :P

Fortnite Creative - jduth 100 Level Default Deathrun Part 1: Spiky Start
Playing this with multiple people is probably a very bad idea for some spots, lol!
I don't have much of a mastery on Death Runs though so the outcome probably wouldn't be too much different. I could probably shave a minute or two off my time if I had a better handle of how certain objects control and the feel of my jumps. Like the part about jumping just "off" the edge instead of "on" the edge" goes against everything I know about platforming and the bouncers not reacting like I'd think they would.
.....Ok, maybe shave like 45 minutes off. XD Still' pretty fun though! Thinking back, there were likely moves I could have done to make obstacles easier. For instance, I could have set off spike traps on a downslope by running down them a bit, then jumping. For an upslope, I could have ducked, unducked and ducked rapidly to try and find the trigger point consistently too. But I think the outcome at the end (next video) will surprise you! Though some aspects should surprise you this video too.
If you don't know, "Default" death runs are made to be an easier style of death run so that they don't kill you with frustration by being more shortform obstacles rather than long, multiple precise moves strung together. The phrase" default" comes from the silly stigma that people without skins are newer players and thus are less skilled. But this particular map ended up being loved by most back when it was first released because of it's balanced difficulty and varied fun obstacles.
Not' sure if I'd call this a mini series or not because it was pretty spur of the moment and I thought I'd finish it in one part. It feels more like the Rapid Fire SMG saga actually.

I FINALLY Found Fortnite's Rapid Fire SMG!
This saga was just ridiculous, lol!
I was finding MULTIPLE epic-rarity (purple) things before that SMG: Two Pistols, Shockwave Grenades, A Tactical Shotgun... Even a Rare (blue) Slurpfish someone didn't take. But no Rapid Fire SMG! Then there it was.... staring at me in a garage on a island. Mocking me that it was there all along! I wipe someone with it and then find they were carrying a better Rapid Fire SMG. Just... really? I get none in 3 games and most of this game, then get two in a short timespan?
Somehow after that though, IO Guards were finding their way into the fort I took over. B-but... how?!?! There's so many builds and I didn't hear them chopping away. One even got right next to me without me noticing. But the end................. THAT END! lol!
Such' a silly game overall which is why I uploaded it. Not many fights until the end, just silliness.

Random Gameplay 80: Super Mario Sunshine HD - Lily Pad Ride
For this milestone in random gameplays, I bring you: The legendary Super Mario Sunshine! Specifically the Lily Pad Ride shine because it's considered one of the hardest, if not the hardest (Pachinko is up there too) to beat and one of the most annoying to even get to. Always remember this at the end of the ride too: DO NOT use that pipe or you'll have to do the boat ride all over again to get back there! You only THINK it'll reset the area or bring you back to the start. But nope! It's a trap! So just stock up on lives before arriving and you'll be good.
Afterwards, I make a "small purchase" and show you the silliness that can ensue with dual-shoulder buttons to replace the single analog shoulder button of the Gamecube.

Zelda: Skyward Sword's Earth Temple Part 3: Fire Bug Finale
As quick as it started, that's how quick it ended. One part less than I thought, but I can't predict the future of how things will go.
So upon finishing the rolling hallway, it was pretty linear from there as the rest was just going to the only option and doing what I think needs to be done. Pretty fun overall though! Especially since I had a particularly amazing Lizafos (Or is it a Hylian Salazzle?...) battle because I seem to have gotten a better handle of my movements after reviewing my footage. That or maybe the rust is wearing off. :P
The Boss was primarily a bomb battle of timing your throws right. Guess' you can roll them, but I just found it easier to just chuck it at the body when it's not all zappy............ Or just kamakaze it with a bomb to save time like a speed runner, lol! There's a bit of dodging here and there, but there's a lot of projection so you can tell where the fireballs are being shot and the legs are flailing about. Same' with the body.
Then I get scolded for seemingly no reason. I mean we all know the princess would've been saved anyway! If tall-new-girl believes in the ancient history and prophecies, then where the poop did she think I wouldn't be qualified as the hero? :P
As for the bit about being able to skip the cutscene at the end, I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I did do some level of replaying on the Wii U before and just forgot about it. Because I thought that you can only skip them if you seen them before. Although I wasn't able to skip stuff like the boulder Cutscenes. Unless it's just with specific ones? I'm gonna have to ponder this now, lol! (Oh and no, the Wii on the Wii U does not show the creation date of save files. Nor does it show specific-Wii-game play time in the activity log. So that's out.)

Lava may be hot and sulfuric, but it's no match for a ball! Nor are those sneaky cracked walls. None of the stuff thusfar in the dungeon has been all that puzzle-like. It's more about observance than anything. I'd say it's more of an action dungeon in that sense in that it takes planning to get by obstacles and some fights.

Zelda: Skyward Sword's Earth Temple Part 1: Heated History
Took' me a while to make this between figuring out the bodycam position, editing decisions and rendering time. But I think it'll be worth the effort to talk Skyward Sword stuff since the HD remaster is coming as it was on my mind lately. Well, "this" is technically HD because the Wii U upscales it pretty cleanly, but it's not the upcoming HD one, lol!
So how about I run through the Earth Temple and talk Skyward Sword and some of it's quirks? It's not a bad game even with the quirks or anything, but there was a lot of divisiveness with the game because of these quirks. Plus general linearity. In a way, I can see why as the game definitely didn't resonate with me at first. But because of the unique sword motion controls, I really want to like it, so I tried again.... Which didn't hold my interest again. But now that the HD remaster is coming, here I am again. :P Though this time, I looked into how the motion controls work ahead of time and....................... they actually don't work 100% of the time, lol! But there's numerous documentation sources across the web to boot. So my guess is the people who thought they worked perfectly but had messups with the controls thought it was themselves and not the game. While that is possible, it's apparently not likely to always be possible. That's not to say the game isn't worth playing. Experiencing swordplay even with the accuracy hiccups is something you still wouldn't want to miss because it's really neat. Plus a little piece of history in the progression of motion controls. My guess is the Joy-Cons of the HD remaster will work even better as their motion is definitely improved in comparison to the Wii Motion Plus. So I'll keep an eye on it.

Stamin RPG 4 - [16] [190] Cat Jazz Funk - 86.68%
This video's topic: Just post scores! There's a limited time in the Stamina tournaments to pass stuff, so pass as much as you can, even if your skills are off. Some may turn out well, others may not, but you'll still get passes. You can always replay them to get better scores later like during warm up or if you are up to practicing. Or just improving them. Gotta' make the most of your play time as you never know if the day you quit out on early because of being off may have helped you pass more for the future in general.
I also briefly talk about that I would like to see a tournament leader board continue indefinitely past the end-end so players can keep seeing what they can pass in relation to others indefinitely. Could' just have a page of the "final standings" for the tournament, but still allow entries for post-tourney competition. I mean sure, I know Groovestats has leader boards of it's own you can add to indefinitely. But few seem to have as wide of a player base on them.

Stamina RPG 4 - [16] [170] Death Of The Dead Sea - 88.77%
In this stamina video, I go over explaining how to get more sustainable with your technique to play longer things at BPMs you are comfortable with or how to get comfortable with certain BPMs.
This is something I found to be key to passing harder stuff because if you are struggling sustaining a particular speed, you probably won't make it through the whole song. But that's ok if you can't do it now. Just keep working at it and you'll find success! You don't "have" to start at faster stuff, you can stay within a BPM range and work at that until it becomes second nature and you are comfortable. Then you'll find faster stuff to be easier than it was when you tried it before.

Stamina RPG 3 - [17] [195] Catoblepas - 79.82%
The topic of this stamina video: Determination! When I played this session, I had a hankering to pass a 17 I haven't passed before. It was coming to the end of my session as I was getting pretty tired, but I still wanted to do so. So I went for two others besides this at 200bpm and went "nope" when I was feeling the intensity. So I scaled it back a tad. It was still hard since I was pretty beat, which shows in the score, but I really wanted that pass, lol! So I used that motivation to keep myself pushing and BOOM! Got' this! Also note something I mentioned before: The more you push, the more your stamina increases. It's just how the body works. Of course if you are in pain you are best stopping because you don't want to injure yourself. But if it's just tiredness, see what you can do by pushing a little more than you usually do. You may surprise yourself!
A bonus is one that I "didn't" pass when I tried it before. I forgot why I didn't, but it doesn't matter I guess!

Random Gameplay 78: Ghosts 'n Goblins (Capcom Arcade Stadium Version) -Played In Slo-Mo by Mistake
This is the first Ghosts n' Goblins... Or........ Ghouls & Ghosts.... Or.... Oh, never mind, lol! Released in arcades in 1985, it was a quarter eater because of it's very high difficulty. Though as you see me explain, I don't know if it's unfair difficulty or if it's just hard. XD In fact, my first impressions of the series was unfair and frustrating. But as I kept giving it chances, I found there does seem to be a method to the madness. But if it is a unfair series, it sure does a good job disguising it because I can look back on deaths and more often than not I think they are avoidable. So in other words: I do have fun with this series!
Edit: I realized after I made this video that I accidentally played the game in slo-mo. Whoops! XD How it happened was when I was playing around with the buttons to see what they did in this at the start of the play, I didn't realize that I didn't just try the rewind, I hit the speed toggle button. I didn't know the game wasn't supposed to be that slow because I never played it before and I know Arthur (Your player character.) tends to move pretty slowly in the series. I'm a doofus! When I realized that off-camera, I replayed the level at normal speed. Funnily enough, I didn't find it to be too much harder. Though I am tempted to make a followup video clarifying that this isn't how the game runs normally.

Stepmania - [10] [155] Quasar (Eggman17's Steps) - 93.67%
As stated, this is not a 10 for pad play. Though thinking back, this was made back when DDR had a max-10 scale. Soooo... if Fascination Maxx is a 10, maybe this is too! XD But really it's more like a 12 on the ITG scale. "Maybe" a 13. Probably 18 on the DDR-X scale as 17 seems too low for this many steps while 19 is like another league.
This one has wild intensity changes throughout. 16th streams leading to gentle taps, taps leading to stepjumps, basic 16th streams leading to crossovers, etc... It's a interesting classic chart!

Stepmania - [12] [178] Air (Reach's Steps) - 87.03%
Since this was made for keyboard play, that 12 rating is probably too low for pad play. XD I'd say it's at least a 13, but probably more like a 14 as it's pretty technically demanding for feet. A few crossovers here and there, speedy bursts, LOTS of jumps, stepjumps and even a few jumps in the middle of the final stream.
I played this on a keyboard years ago, but at the time I never thought I'd one day pass it on a pad. I think with enough planning and plays I could 90+% it, maybe even FC it, but for now I can certainly sightread it.

Stamina RPG 4 - [18] [188] Radiation 239 - 86.52%
Feel the power of an 18! Well... another 18. :P This is a pretty demanding song as it's relentless with it's streams. Only one major break throughout, but the rest is just brutal. Well, feels more and more brutal the longer you go in it because of the tiredness level increasing.

As for the nasal drainage part, I noticed with intense exercise I can get that which causes me to gag. If I gag too much, I may have to quit the attempt. But once the gagging subsides, I can try the song again and usually I'll pass it. It's a weird phenominon because usually I'd quit out on a song because of an ache or tiredness, but that's a completely separate thing that doesn't have much to do with the actually passing so much as it is just whatever is in my nose at the time. Allergies for instance could be a thing. If you have that at times too, try to figure it out what it's from to prevent it entirely.

Stamina RPG 3 - [16] [212] Longinus (Medium) - 82.65%
This is a pretty rough 16! Very' fast at 14.13 steps per second (212BPM) with complexities in both rhythms and patterns to boot. Pretty overwhelming to read so much for so long too, which is the topic of discussion here. I've noticed two ways I pass something I struggled with: Save it for later after my skills are more refined or grind away at it until I get it. Personally I think the former is a lot more fun and practical, especially for this tournament because the more you pass the higher your score is. Why struggle on just one when you can pass 10 other 16s, you know? But if you really want to grind at it, you'll get a pass of it that way too if you work at it. Your call. Or you may just pass this first try without any ire. I dunno your skill level or traits, lol! But you should know them just from playing.
Looking back on this video, I noticed I forgot to take a screencap of the score as proof like I'd usually do in case I'm asked. Hope' a video will suffice! ;D

I also wanted to show stuff I found that was neat or humorous. I thought about editing this to be more of a "compilation" of sorts. But as I was watching I seen I had a lot more to say than I remembered and it would have messed things up. So it's all "as-is". Today's topic: Adjusting your technique in a session if you see it's not the same. Kind of a mouthful, but the description it needed. Some times you have a bad day, other times you are just getting back into the game. Whatever it may be, the subtle efficiency of technique for this game is easy to waver. Using your feet, try to figure out your position using the depressions of the arrows, along with the brackets, to try and get yourself back in the right spot. It may take a bunch of plays to get it again, but as long as you are putting in the effort, you'll get it. Just don't give up!
Also discussion about why my room kept getting so hot. XD Turned out that the air conditioner has a back panel you aren't supposed to be able to open on the back (no finger holes, only-snaps-in clips, not in the manual, etc...) where the cooling blades are (I presume that's WHY they didn't want people to access it as those are sharp) and it was LOADED with dust. Caused' the air conditioner to overheat. After cleaning that out, it was good as new! I even modded the panel so I could get in it easier next time by sanding the clips so they are rounded (but still hold snugly) and added a pull tab at the top made out of duct tape.
