According to the GLOBAL CHARTER OF ETHICS FOR JOURNALISTS, No 1&2 out of the 16 principles of reporting states that,

1.Respect for the facts and for the right of the public to truth is the first duty of the journalist.

2. In pursuance of this duty, the journalist shall at all times defend the principles of freedom in the honest collection and publication of news, and of the right of fair comment and criticism. He/she will make sure to clearly distinguish factual information from commentary and criticism

Your report was not based on facts and true story, the peaceful Finnish public does not need this sort of misinformation.

First of all, the formally registered IPOB in Finland body is called Biafralaiset Suomessa ry which has distanced itself from the protest that occurred in Lahti. There office is located in Helsinki and the twitter handle is

There are saboteurs in every Liberation movement, the likes of terrorist

in this case , which does not want Biafra to exit Nigeria, has contracted individuals who are saboteurs to sabotage and spread propaganda. This is exactly what played out in Lahti and that is the reason why you should have done a proper research before reporting in order to avoid aiding and abetting propaganda.

You did not report that only five of these protesters were resident in Finland and that the rest were from abroad. The question you should have asked is this, why did the members in Finland not participate in the demonstration if they had any?

Joonas did not report that there is Biafra Liberation movement globally, piloted by the Biafra Republic Government in Exile with it's head quarters registered and operating legally in USA. The Prime Minister being

on twitter to find out if the majority of Biafrans support him or at least to get a broader view of the whole situation and also to observe the activities of the government in exile which is now educating him on the Biafra Liberation.

without extradition process, committing a crime of extraordinary rendition in violation of

law on extradition.

This was an attempt to end the Biafra Liberation and then the Prime Minister stepped in as the Biafra Spokes Person, restructured the movement and saved it from total collapse. This is part of the reason that the leadership of the liberation is piloted from abroad.

Joonas should seek a rejoinder from Biafralaiset Suomessa ry or Biafra Republic Government in Exile or the Prime Minister before publishing stories about Biafra, you are at least obligated by the ethics of

in making your reports. You owe it to truth, in seeking for clarifications from all parties before making your conclusion.

Protest is not enough reason to draw up a story and it's the right of everyone to express themselves freely. The ethics has been published for your view.
