There are thousands of books, podcasts, conferences, and courses on leadership. The Bible also has a lot to say about leadership, good and bad. Some great characters and books like Nehemiah might come to mind. This series will examine the early life of King David from I Samuel where we can find many examples of what makes a leader great, how to inspire our followers, and handle difficult situations. If you are already in a leadership position or are hoping on being in one sometime in your life, you may find some great strategies that David used in leading a group of people. You will also learn some things to avoid as a leader and how to handle situations that leaders are commonly forced to guide followers through.

My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3
