Block 2 Week 2: Comp Deadlift

To clear up any confusion, the first week of new blocks in this program are mini-deload weeks, so I just didn't post any footage of that, haha. Neck pain cleared up at the end of the previous week, (during the mini-deload), so now I am ready to kick ass, again. Comp Squat and Bench Press went well, for the most part; but I had to do it at the local gym where I work, and it was busy, so I had no desire to have the extra hassle, with filming. I'm very happy with today's results. I decided to test my mettle by using Hook Grip with my comp standard training session; and man, it went better than expected, with a huuuuge PR in terms of weight liftied. The transition to Hook Grip is coming along swimmingly. I am also focusing on queuing my knees to lockout first, and then pushing through with the hips, as I think on heavier loads I have been having a tendency to try and lock them simultaneously, instead of knees before hips, resulting in my lockout being slower. I can tell already that this is having a positive impact on my performance, and something I was overlooking. Transitioning to a hopeflly more optimal grip, and ironing out form/technique kinks should yield big progress, on the horizon 🤘🏻.
