Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2) to the International Space Station (ISS) launches from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, with the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft taking off on Sunday, May 21.

Axiom Space’s Director of Human Spaceflight Peggy Whitson, a former NASA astronaut, will lead the privately funded mission, while aviator John Shoffner will pilot the craft.

The launch will make history with Ax-2 mission specialists Ali Alqarni and Rayyanah Barnawi becoming Saudi Arabia's first ever astronauts. Barnawi will also become the first Arab Muslim woman in space.
