Live outside the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) headquarters in Madrid on Monday, November 13, as protesters rally against the party’s deal with Catalan separatists to secure another term in the government.

Incumbent Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez reached an agreement last week with Carles Puigdemont's Together for Catalonia (Junts), which included a law to grant amnesty to thousands of those involved in Catalonia's failed bid for independence in 2017.

It came after the conservative People's Party (PP) won the most seats in July's election, but failed to achieve an overall majority, with PSOE in second place and Junts holding the balance of power.

The recent deal has to be approved by Congress by November 27. Puigdemont himself remains in exile in Belgium.
