Vectors as Forces in Physics and Engineering

In this video I go over applications of vectors in physics and engineering, and in particular look at "Forces". Since forces involve a magnitude (measured in pounds or newtons) and a direction, we can represent them as vectors. And if several forces act on an object the resultant force is the vector sum of these forces. I go over an example involving a 100 pound weight being hung by 2 wires at different angles, and then calculate the resultant forces experienced by the wires. In this case since the wires are being pulled or stretched, they are said to be in "Tension".
