Exercise 5: Approximating the Period of a Pendulum using the Binomial and Geometric Series
In this video I go over the formula for the period (time it takes to go back and forth) of a pendulum and approximate it using the binomial and geometric series. I first rewrite the pendulum period formula using the binomial series and given integral for sine^2n, and approximate it using the first 2 terms. Since all the terms of the series are positive, the actual pendulum period is larger than the 2nd order approximation. I then show that the binomial series form of the pendulum period is actually less than a geometric series. Thus we have an upper and lower bound for our approximation. I go over several examples and determine the % accuracy as well.

- Comparing our Taylor series with geometric series: 24:57
- Pendulum period is less than sum of a geometric series: 30:14

Exercise 4: Approximating the Velocity of a Shallow Water Wave using Maclaurin Series
In this video I go over the water wave velocity equation and approximate it when the waves are deep and when the waves are shallow. For deep waves, the hyperbolic tan or tanh(x) term in the water wave velocity equation approaches zero, which greatly simplifies the equation. For shallow waves, we can use the Maclaurin series approximation for tanh(x) and show that 3rd order or higher terms approach zero for shallow waves. I also calculate the error of this shallow wave speed approximation by using the alternating series estimation theorem.

Exercise 3: Approximating Electric Field of Electric Dipoles using Binomial Series
In this video, I use the binomial series approximation to demonstrate that the electric field (E) of an electric dipole (two equal but opposite charges separated by a small distance) is proportional to 1 over the distance cubed when measured from a far distance. Normally, the electric field (E) of a single charge is proportional to the charge divided by the distance squared. However, for a dipole, we must subtract the electric field of one charge from the electric field of the other. By applying the binomial series to rewrite E and considering the limit at large distances, higher-order terms (second-order and beyond) approach zero. This simplification yields the approximate result: E ≈ 2dq/D³, where D is the distance from the dipole, d is the separation between the charges, and q is the magnitude of the charge.

- Exercise 3: Electric Dipoles: 0:00
- Solution: Rewrite Electric Field equation to get d/D term: 1:38
- Binomial series approximation for d/D term: 4:24
- Plug in binomial series into electric field equation: 8:25
- Electric field of a dipole is proportional to 1/D^3 when D is much greater than d: 10:58
- E ≈ 2dq/D^3: 12:31

✈️#911Truth Part 32: 3D Volumetric Image Projection on 9/11 (Clip from Censored Documentary)
In #911Truth Part 32 I have uploaded a short clip from the 9/11 Alchemy - A Big Idea documentary which YouTube removed for "Hate Speech", focusing on the very likely advanced image projection technology used on 9/11. This clip includes several parts of my own work to drive home the point that the "planes" on 9/11 literally were glitching out in real life, and not simply due to camera or video compression artifacts, and certainly not CGI. The videos of the "planes" were real, but the disappearing wings, and impossible crash dynamics, point towards advanced holographic or plasma induced projection technology. One such mechanism for the projection could be the MYSTERY OBJECT flying literally next to the 2nd "plane" at near 587 mph. Assuming the mystery object was under invisibility cloaking, its position relative to the synced disappearing wings videos suggests it may be the reason why the right wing disappeared at exactly the same time and place...

✈️#911Truth Part 31: Feature Documentary: 9/11 Alchemy - A Big Idea by Wolf Clan Media
In #911Truth Part 31 I have uploaded the 3rd installment of the 9/11 Alchemy series, along side a few updates and corrections on my part, titled A Big Idea. This documentary focuses mainly on the many occult, esoteric, and synchronistic aspects surrounding the events of 9/11. From numerology, predictive programming, and Aleister Crowely ritualist magic, 9/11 was a monumental earthquake in the very fabric of reality.
Another key aspect of this documentary, and which is I have updated to include my later work, is the holographic or volumetric 3D projection technology that very likely was in play on 9/11 and used to give the appearance of large Boeing planes. In my opinion, the topic of the "planes" is THE most esoteric and controversial aspect of 9/11...
9/11 Alchemy - A Big Idea was created by Chris Hampton of Wolf Clan Media and was originally published on September 11, 2021: http://web.archive.org/web/20210914120112/https://wolfclanmedia.org/9-11-alchemy-a-big-idea/

Exercise 2: Deriving the 1st Order and 3rd Order Optics Formulas
In this video, I derive the first-order and third-order optics formulas by approximating the refraction formula for light using first and third-order Taylor polynomials, respectively. Refraction refers to the change in the direction of light as it passes between different mediums due to a change in speed. Light naturally travels in a way that minimizes time, and this principle helps us derive formulas for how light refracts when entering a material. The distances light travels before and after passing through an optical lens can be calculated using the Law of Cosines, which leads to a complex equation. However, we simplify this equation using Taylor polynomial approximations.
In the first part of the video, I derive the first-order, or Gaussian optics, formula by approximating the cosine function in the distance equations with its first term, which is simply 1.
In the second part, I derive the third-order Gaussian optics formula by using the third-degree Taylor polynomial for cosine, which includes the first two non-zero terms. I also apply a given hint to approximate the inverse of the distances using the first two terms of their respective binomial series. Additionally, I use a second hint to approximate the angle with its sine, which introduces a term involving the height. After working through the algebra, I arrive at the third-order optics formula!

Magnetic Isopotentials Explain the Faraday Paradox, Stern-Gerlach Experiment, and Atomic Orbitals
In this video I summarize the very important work of FractalWoman and Michael Snyder on Isopotentials, which are contours of equal magnetic field strength. These contours are perpendicular to the magnetic field, which is the shape formed by iron filings around a magnet. When plotting out the lines of equal magnetic strength, the shape formed explains many magnetic phenomena in simple terms. The isopotentials represent pressure gradients much the same as contours of air pressure in weather forecasts. When viewing magnetism from the perspective of isopotential lines, it becomes clear why tiny magnets move along curve paths instead of directly towards a bigger magnet. Isopotentials also make clear the expected behavior of Faraday's paradox, the Stern-Gerlach experiment, and the shapes of atomic orbitals.

Exercise 1: Taylor Derivatives Equal the Function's Derivatives at x = a
In this video I prove that the derivatives of a Taylor Polynomial are equal to the derivatives of the corresponding function used in the approximation when x = a. This is because any derivative at x = a of any Taylor polynomial cancels out all the terms (since a - a = 0) except the first term, which is just the corresponding derivative of f at x = a.

- Solution: Taylor derivatives cancel out all the terms except the first: 0:30
- n-th Taylor derivative is equal to the n-th derivative of f: 8:09

Approximating Optical Refraction using Taylor Polynomials
In this video, I demonstrate how Taylor polynomials are used in optical physics to simplify the complex refraction equation. The refraction path lengths of light outside and inside a refractive medium, like a glass lens, can be derived using the Law of Cosines. However, the resulting equation is often cumbersome to work with. In first-order optics, we approximate these lengths using the first-order Taylor polynomial for cosine, where cos(x) is approximated as 1. For larger angles, a more accurate approximation is needed, so we use the third-degree Taylor polynomial instead, a method known as third-order optics.

Example 3: Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity vs. Classical Theory for Kinetic Energy
In this video I approximate Albert Einstein's kinetic energy equation from his theory of special relativity and show that at low velocities the equation agrees with the classical Newtonian equation K = (1/2)mv^2. In special relativity, the mass of a moving object is a function of its velocity and the speed of light in a vacuum, with the property that the mass goes to infinity as the velocity approaches the speed of light. The kinetic energy is the difference between its total energy (E = mc^2) and its energy at rest (m_o·c^2 where m_o is the rest mass). Plugging in the realistic mass into the kinetic energy equation we obtain an equation which can be approximated with the Maclaurin binomial series. When the velocity is much less than the speed of light, then the equation simplifies into the classical kinetic energy equation. I show that the error for this approximation is extremely small when the velocity is less than 100 m / s or 223.7 miles / hour (mph). This is a great illustration of using Taylor polynomials in a physics to gain insight into the equations.

Example 2: Approximating sin(x) with Taylor Polynomials and Calculating its Error
In this video I go over a very in-depth video exploring the trigonometric sine function, its Taylor polynomials approximation, and its associated error. The Maclaurin polynomial (Taylor series centered at a = 0) approximation has alternating signs, is decreasing, and the terms approach zero, thus we can use the Alternating Series Estimation Theorem to calculate the error. Later, I show that we can get the same result using Taylor's Inequality as well as via graphing the error directly with Desmos graphing calculator. When we approximate functions, it is important to center it near the value of x we want to approximate, because the series converges more rapidly. Lastly, I show how graphing multiple Maclaurin Polynomials for sin(x) get more and more accurate as we increase the number of terms, hence increasing the degree of polynomials.

Example 1: Approximating Cube Root Function by a 2nd Degree Taylor Polynomial
In this video I approximate the cube root function x^(1/3) by using a 2nd degree Taylor polynomial at a = 8. The first step is to obtain the first 2 derivatives of f at x = 8, and then the third derivative to be used for the error estimation. Since the resulting Taylor approximation is not alternating, we can't use the alternating series estimation theorem but instead we can use Taylor's Inequality. For the interval between x = 7 and x = 9, the error is less than 0.0004, which is very accurate. Double checking our result using the Desmos graphing calculator shows that the error is even more accurate: less than 0.0003.

Approximating Functions by Taylor Polynomials
In this video, I demonstrate how Taylor polynomials can be used to approximate functions and how to evaluate the accuracy of these approximations by examining the absolute magnitude of the error. The first-degree Taylor polynomial uses only the first derivative of the function and is equivalent to basic linearization or linear approximation. By increasing the number of terms from the Taylor series, we obtain a closer approximation to the function. I illustrate this concept by approximating the exponential function at x = 0. It's important to note that the further we move from x = 0, the more terms are required for the approximation to converge accurately. We can determine the degree of the Taylor polynomial needed to achieve a specific accuracy by estimating the error using methods such as graphing, the Alternating Series Estimation Theorem, or Taylor's Inequality.

Recap on Power Series, Taylor Series, and Taylor Polynomials
In this video I go over a quick recap on power series, which is a specific type of infinite series whose terms are powers of x multiplied by coefficients. A power series converges for only 3 possible cases: at x = a, at all values of x, or at an interval of convergence R while the endpoints are indeterminant. A Taylor series is a specific type of power series whose coefficients are determined from the coefficients of a function. Taylor polynomials refer to a specific number of terms of a Taylor series. If a function is equal to its corresponding representation as a Taylor series then the remainder approaches zero. Lastly, a Maclaurin series is a specific type of Taylor series that is centered about zero.
Timestamps:
- Power Series: 0:00
- Convergence of a power series at x = a, all x, or a radius of convergence R: 0:56
- Series may or may not converge at end points of R: 1:42
- Taylor series is a power series with coefficients obtained from the function's derivatives: 2:37
- Maclaurin series is a Taylor series centered at a = 0: 3:23
- A function is equal to its Taylor series if remainder approaches zero: 3:55
- Taylor's Inequality is used to evaluate the remainder: 4:24
- Table 1 of common functions and their Maclaurin series: 5:13
