Why we need Cryptocurrency- Part 2, Ethereum. Programmable money is revolutionary.

Bitcoin is just the first iteration of blockchain technology, yet its all people talk about when they think of cryptocurrency.

Part 1 discussed Bitcoin and is available here: https://youtu.be/LqpJhecA8j8

In part 2, we take bitcoin and stack on top of it programmability. This is Ethereum. This gives us programmable money, and now is absolutely game changing.

Decentralize permissionless blockchain applications allows the world to give services to everyone in a fair way, without the need to ask a government or bank or lending institution if they will let you.

This means that when the powers decide to collude and save eachother by restricting purchasing of shares (but allow selling of shares), there would have been a decentralized unshakable avenue that people could have used to bypass those permissions.

This is how we can take the power away from the corrupt, and give access to anyone who wants it. Ethereum is the most important tool for freedom that has ever existed in the history of the human race.

Then we will get back to gardening...!!!

If this isn't your thing, I promise we will get back to planting trees and healing the planet. Its just that... this ALSO heals the planet. This is the "people care" side of permaculture ethics.

edit: one area i wish I could have spent more time on was MMT, modern monetary theory. Inflationary currency and why its killing us. I mentioned it here but I'm just not sure how fluid I was, squeezing a topic worth a Ph.D thesis defense in a 2 minute clip.

For a really good read on the destructive nature of MMT, check out "The End of Growth", by Richard Heinberg.

also check out "The third industrial revolution" by Jeremy Rifkin (book and on Netflix), as well as "Money for Nothing".
