This was one EXHAUSTING set, hahaha. I was originally going to take it easy, today; but once again, I got consumed with the FIRE to progress. I knew I had this in me, even though I wasn't feeling at my best. It turns out that my previous best was 7 with this weight, but I thought it was 8 at the time, lol. So I best my previous best by 2 REPS, BABY! I think I could have even hit 10 reps, if I had REAAAALLY wanted to push it, and especially if I didn't pause so long in between the last couple of reps. However, I decided I should probably be relatively cautious with such a high volume set, and since my right hip/gluteal area was feeling pretty stiff, and funky. So I made a judgement call, and decided to pace myself at the end, and just focus on being as tight as I could, and grab the 1 (actually 2) rep PR, to prevent any potential mishaps. So all in all, I'm really happy with this; especially as I went in to this session not planning on hitting this much, lol. Hopefully I don't fatigue myself too much from this! Time to take a rest day, and then hit Incline Bench 🤘🏻.
