Anti-government protesters gather outside the Georgian parliament on Thursday to protest against a draft law on foreign agents.

The bill was withdrawn earlier today after the ruling Georgian Dream party said that the ‘lie machine’ had presented it in a negative light and misled ‘a certain part of the population’.

However, protest organisers said demonstrations would continue in Tbilisi because citizens ‘need clarity on how they intend to withdraw this law because their statements are vague’.

The protests have been ongoing for several days. Earlier, police fired tear gas and stun grenades as protesters broke through the fence outside parliament.
