My experience with Bill Gates as someone who is very dismissive of women because that's who he is: - When I walked into my first meeting, there were about 10 people around the table. There were only two women. This meeting was about the successor to the CEO. There were 50 people on that list. All men. When I commented that there were no women on the list at all and only 2 black men, he yelled at me, are you fucking trying to destroy this company? I just thought: What? Did that really just happen? - I think with the Gates Foundation, Bill Gates wanted to clean up his terrible reputation. But it is not this innocent humanitarian organization as everyone is led to believe. Almost all of the Gates Foundation's work relates to poor, black and brown people. Most of the money doesn't go to Africa, as the marketing structure of this organization would suggest, it goes to organizations in rich countries (like Harvard and Mastercard). - Covax has been touted as THE solution. However, that was the worst thing he could do in the pandemic. - Oxford University, which invented the British vaccine, originally said the invention should be patent-free. Then there were negotiations that the Bill Gates Foundation was involved in, and when those negotiations ended, it turned out that the knowledge was passed on to Astra Zeneca and suddenly they were responsible for who got to buy and produce this vaccine and who will ultimately receive it. I don't think it's fair to call Bill Gates a super villain, but we made him a super hero, but the truth is he's a very flawed and troubling man.
