LIVE: Batalha das Limas 2023 - Ponta Delgada Azores Portugal - 21.02.2023
Este ano, 7 equipas e 8 camiões, constituídas por pequenos e graúdos, estão responsáveis por manter viva esta tradição micaelense.
As equipas que vão entrar nesta batalha de água são os “Cães de Fila de São Miguel” de Santo António, os “Badboys” de São Roque, os “Sempre Presentes” de São José, os “Santa Canalha” de Santa Clara, os “Bairro da Lata” do Rosário da Lagoa, os “Fúria Azul” do Livramento e os “Bombásticos” da Associação de Bombeiros Voluntários de Ponta Delgada.
Nesta terça-feira de Carnaval, será criado, na Avenida, um espaço vedado reservado para os batalhantes, haverão caixotes de lixo espalhados pelo recinto e está proibida a batalha fora do percurso definido.
O Clube Naval de Ponta Delgada também vai colaborar nesta batalha, com duas motas a circular entre as Portas da Cidade e a Marina para monitorizar o espaço e recolher eventuais resíduos, que possam cair ao mar.
No final desta iniciativa, não há perdedores e a equipa de Limpeza da Câmara Municipal de Ponta Delgada, juntamente com todos os participantes, entram em ação e colocam a cidade sem vestígios deste evento.
This year, 7 teams and 8 trucks, made up of children and adults, are responsible for keeping this Micaelense tradition alive.
The teams that will enter this water battle are the "Cães de Fila de São Miguel" from Santo António, the "Badboys" from São Roque, the "Sempre Presentes" from São José, the "Santa Canalha" from Santa Clara, the "Bairro da Lata" from Rosário da Lagoa, the "Fúria Azul" from Livramento and the "Bombásticos" from the Associação de Bombeiros Voluntários de Ponta Delgada.
This Tuesday of Carnival, a fenced space will be created in the Avenue reserved for the battles, there will be garbage cans scattered around the premises and it is forbidden to battle outside the defined route.
The Ponta Delgada Naval Club will also collaborate in this battle, with two motorcycles circulating between the City Gates and the Marina to monitor the space and collect any waste that might fall overboard.
At the end of this initiative, there are no losers and the cleaning team from the Ponta Delgada City Hall, along with all the participants, will go into action and put the city without traces of this event.
