Straighten Scoliosis Naturally Through Yoga | Bountiful Yoga
🌟 Did you know you can straighten scoliosis naturally through yoga? At Bountiful Yoga Studio in Austria, I teach a physical therapy for scoliosis class. In this video I have put together some of the best scoliosis exercises and stretches I teach for an all - level yoga practice which focuses exclusively on the spine, to reduce back pain and tightness in the hips and shoulders.
If you are wondering how to improve scoliosis, or how to fix scoliosis, the regular practice of gentle yoga sequences over time can reduce the curvature of the spine. After six months of regularly (3-4 times a week) practising exercises for scoliosis most of my patients confirmed a greater range of motion in the upper body and hips as well as reduced pain and some even have no more pain. Its amazing that its possible to straighten spine curvature with yoga and this is the ideal place to start!

In this video I gently guide you through different yoga asanas to stretch the spine and the muscles around it. Pain due to Scoliosis in the back or lower body area is caused by the pressure on the spinal disks, the deflection of the spine stretches and irritates nerve bundles along the spine as well as the joints causing them to be inflamed.
The practice of gentle yoga poses will release the tension accumulated in the spine and relieve inflammation in the nerves and joints welcoming a greater range of motion and flexibility.
However, to alleviate tension and strain in the spine and hips, it is crucial to strengthen the core muscles in order to give the spine that extra support needed.
The practice of Yoga but more specifically the practice of Yoga for medical conditions reminds us that everything is connected. Acceptance of where you are today is the key, gift yourself this 20 minutes to YOU, as you will be relieved from pain, you will improve your posture, lead a happier life and change your energy state.
