We have big news to share!

Announcement #1! They accepted our offer on the 36 acre parcel near Tombstone…yay!!! We are so much happier with this piece of property for so many reasons, but the main two are that it has amazing access with roads that are maintained and it has a community well that we can access once we get there. We are also pretty excited about having so much more space to work with!

We are so excited and we have to give a big shout out to our Realtor, Clay Greatmore, who made this happen! Clay specializes in the Cochise County area and specifically in off grid, homestead, and unique properties. Announcement #2! We are selling our house! For a while we were thinking we would try to keep it as a short-term rental, but as gas prices and the economy have continue to decline, we made the decision to put our house on the market. Today is April 2nd and we are working hard to get it listed by May 1st. With this decision comes the decision for Douglas to quit his job. This was a huge decision because he has worked in the same industry for quite some time and that means letting go of some security. Although we do not outright own our home, we will make enough to get us started on the road to self sufficiency. We estimate we have 4-5 years to get things self-sufficient and hopefully have a few businesses up and running so that we can stay out of the rat race :)
