MZTV 1068: "Not All Out of Israel, These Are Israel"

Romans 9:6 has been twisted by the "we are spiritual Israel" people to "prove" that God is finished with the literal nation Israel. Is that what Paul is saying here? Hardly.

This statement of Paul's is actually more proof that God is not finished with bringing literal Israel into a literal kingdom. Where the Romans would have thought that, with the national defection, God was done with the entire nation, Paul is basically saying: "Not all those who call themselves Israelites are the Israelite God is after." In other words, there are Israelites who are true, and Israelites who are false. (Every single person of this context is a literal Israelites."

In other words, the national defection is, in fact, not a NATIONAL defection, for some AMONG ISRAEL are faithful, i.e. "the remnant." That only the faithful Israelites are being blessed by God is no proof that God is done with the entire nation. As I just said, it is proof that God is NOT done with the entire nation. The existence of even a few faithful Israelites ("these are Israel") proves that.
