MAKING A DIAGRAM OF BIBLICAL TRUTHS -mFROM EARTH'S CONSTRUCTION TO EARTH'S DESTRUCTION

CHARTING THE AGES….. laying the foundation for understanding the Scriptures:
God’s call to mans regality…

First the defining of a few words used in Scripture: … the Hebrew word; olom, the Greek words; aion and aionios. For a complete understanding of these two words see Marvin R. Vincent’s four-volume set, Word Studies in the New
Testament.

Olom: means ‘age lasting’….or horizon to horizon…the corresponding word in the Greek is; ‘aion’ and W.E Vines New Testament meaning is a period of indefinite duration of time in relation to what takes place in that period.
The force of the word is not so much that of the actual length of a period, but that of a period marked by spiritual or moral characteristics.
This is illustrated in John 17:3 in respect of the increasing knowledge of God.
“And this is ‘life (zoe) eternal (aionios) that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

‘Aion’ is the noun for ‘age’… ‘aionios’; is the word usually translated ‘eternal’ or ‘everlasting’ it is the adjective from the noun -aion-. Neither word means eternal or everlasting. The only way the Greek or Hebrew words can express ‘eternal’ is by using ‘aion’ in the plural….as in rev 1:6,18;4:9,10;5:13,14;7:12;10:6;11:15;14:11;15:7;19:3;20:10;22:5.

Sometimes ‘aion’ is mistranslated as ‘worlds’…as in Hebs 1;2;11:3.

Matthew 12:32 contrasting aions or ages …there are two of them set in the framework of the 7000 years typified in Genesis 1:2a-2:3.

The Greek word ‘oikonomia’ is the word translated ‘dispensation’ in English.
It means; Primarily signifies the management of a household or of household affairs, the management of the property of others;…stewerdship.

Scripture is all about these 7000 years of time…. Related to this Earth and its heaven with a starting point and an ending point.
Scripture; in its promises and warnings are focused upon the 1000 year Day of the Lord.
It is not about ‘Heaven or Hell’ issues related to ‘saved and unsaved’ in ‘eternity’ beyond this ‘age’ as the Church has misrepresented it from one degree of error to a greater degree of error over the last 1700 years or so, till its fully leavened state of Scriptural ignorance of today.. 2tm3:7.

A great deal of the leavening affect is because of the misusing these words, aion and aionios to represent ‘eternity’ as something that has to do with being ‘saved’ and accepted into Heaven or being ‘unsaved’ and forever lost in Hell after this time… when ‘eternity’ begins.

Scriptures entire emphasis on the Age of the Kingdom inheritance has been all but replaced with an almost exclusive emphasis on ‘salvation by grace’….leaving the vast majority of ‘saved’ Chrisitan’s completely unaware of the Truth of Scripture in the spiritual battle for their souls, and woefully short of spiritual maturity in morality and will disinherited from the Kingdom and all its promises.
