There is a lot of activity surrounding the development and interest of the Swedish Air Force fighter aircraft, among them the Saab 37 Viggen. Sweden, together with its Scandinavian sister country Finland, have made the important decision to join NATO. This, in turn, sparked a surprisingly new round of interest in the Swedish military's weapons systems and capabilities, particularly the Viggen's successor, the JAS 39 Gripen.
