EASY 145 KGS X 12 SQUAT! NEW REP PR!

I decided to dial my squat training max back a few cycles, to help lessen the intensity/fatigue ratio for one of my main lifts, so I can focus on pushing everything else; primarily deadlifts, a bit more/easier. I was feeling pretty decent today, despite the muggy and humid weather. I was sincerely thinking of going for 20 reps with this weight, depending on how it moved, because all of my warm ups felt like cake. When I did the first five to six reps or so, I really thought "Yes, I've got 20 reps, this is it!" However, right after, my right knee started bugging me, and totally threw me off. Which may have been due to my really speedy approach with repping/descent. So I decided to slow it down, but by that point, I had lost my momentum, and the weight started to feel a lot heavier. I think my depth was also a bit higher than usual, which I think was partly due to the tighter shorts I was wearing, and the rapid speed I was doing the reps, hahaha. Despite this, I think I still had a few reps left in me, and I think I could have at the very least grinded it out to 15 or more, but I thought I would not push it too hard with my knee feeling funky, and called it at 12, which I believe still easily exceeded my previous best of nine reps with this weight. If my knee didn't start feeling funky, I sincerely think 20 reps could have been in the cards. It was probably a bit foolish to go so fast, but the adrenaline and my determination got the best of me in the heat of the moment, hahaha. My life goal of being capable of hitting 140 Kgs for 20 reps is getting VERY CLOSE, if not there already! 🤟🏻
