Camp Fire Stories After Generator Breakdown - Energy Vortex Hike in Sedona, Arizona

Hello!

This video was recorded 11/2021.

After leaving Phoenix, AZ, we headed over to Sedona, as Katrina had heard there was some kinda hippie energy magic stuff going on there. Also, it is such an iconic and beautiful place to stay for a while, that would be a lot cooler than Phoenix!
On our last video we were having generator issues, and that continued on with us to Sedona. We found ourselves a nice looking, mostly shaded area in which we could camp and not be too bothered by road noise. Immediately after arriving in our new spot, our generator stopped working entirely... Awesome!

Since we were mostly in shade, and could not create our own power, we ended up going into super conservation mode; avoiding using lights and other things that would burn down our battery, and cause the fridge/freezer and heater to stop working (that would suck as it got down to about 25 degrees at night). After realizing there was not a ton of fun to be had inside, we decided to go for a wander around the forest and collect some firewood and build a campfire. I was really looking forward to this, as we rarely slow our roll enough to actually sit peacefully by a fire, so this could actually be a good thing.

I build the fire, and we enjoy sitting around it for a while, eating dinner and talking a bit. Katrina tells some tales of the chaos we have been dealing with recently involving the generator and bummer experience with the phone repair company trying to fix her broken phone.

Finally, we ended up leaving that campsite for a much sunnier one where we could create some power with our solar panel! This also happened to be very close to where we could ride Sparkles (our motorcycle) to visit Sedona and be tourists for the day. We hiked all around the "Energy Vortex" that Katrina was excited experience, and I was stoked as always for a gorgeous hike, moto ride, and to see this iconic town!

Hope you enjoy!

When we first started on our trip a lot of chaos happened and we weren’t able to edit, so we’ve been working through our backlog of footage for a while. We plan to be caught up and current in the next few months. In the meantime, have fun watching our memories.
