Chiefs News is busy this morning, Monday August 1st as Chiefs’ left tackle Orlando Brown is ending his holdout and will report to Chiefs Training Camp. Former NFL QB Robert Griffin III first broke the news before Ian Rapoport and others confirmed that Patrick Mahomes’ left tackle would arrive for the Chiefs’ first padded practice. Brown’s agent Michael Portner said it was important for Brown to end his holdout and show up for padded practices as that’s when “leaders are formed.” Brown will sign his franchise tender and play under the franchise tag in 2022.

MAJOR NFL News has dropped as Judge Sue Robinson has made her ruling on the Deshaun Watson case as she recommends a 6-game suspension for the Cleveland Browns’ QB. Robinson released a detailed 15-page ruling explaining her decision which also includes that Watson must only use team massage therapists moving forward. The NFL Commissioner’s office and Roger Goodell ultimately have the final say on how long Watson’s suspension is, but the NFLPA released a statement last night saying they would not appeal Robinson’s ruling and asked that the league do the same. If Watson only misses 6 games, the Chiefs could have another AFC contender to worry about during the 2022 NFL Season.
