Suriya Cocoa Farm Tour - Chanthaburi Thailand

Visit our new website here: http://anarchychocolate.com (it's a work in progress). We are building out this site as we start our own tree to bar journey in cocoa and developing the first chocolate in Trat.

We had a tour of Suriya Cocoa Farm in Chanthaburi today and got to meet the wonderful owner Khun Bum.

We purchased some healthy cocoa samplings for only 20 Baht each. We also bought a bag of beans that are ready to roast.

While we dodged the showers we walked around the farm and viewed the mature cocoa trees that are harvested twice a month. Most of the trees are about 9 years old. We also tasted fresh cocoa beans straight from the tree.

We also visited the nursery when Khun Bum sells cocoa trees for 20 Baht each. If you are looking to start to grow cocoa, she will help you on your way and impart her knowledge and share her experiences growing this amazing fruit.

Also when the cocoa trees are bearing pods, she will also buy them off you so you have a ready made customer that completes the cycle.

You can contact Khun Bum via her facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/suriyacocoa/
