Today I am grooming orchids while in the pot, removing old bulbs, and discussing several different cases and stages of orchid pseudobulb decline. From pseudobulbs that have suffered cold damage and declined for that reason, or seedling pseudobulbs that have served their purpose to finding fusarium in an orchid that was never under suspicion! Taking the opportunity of finding fusarium in one of my orchids, I take the opportunity to use it as a #teachablemoments and we have a chat about that horrible fungus that can take an orchid down without us even knowing what went wrong, should the orchid not be performing as expected. Also, I have a lot of #dendrobiumaphyllum #keikis that need taking care of so that my project of the monster mount, will one day give us a great display of curtain like #aphyllum blooms!
