These cute species orchids come from mountainous areas in Brazil, and benefit from a drop in temperature at night. #Rupicolouslaelias are often slow to produce new roots, and generally imported bare-root, making these orchids very slow to reestablish. Patience, and attentive TLC, can help ease the transition period to get them settled in. In my misting water, I include some KelpMax. By doing that, I hope that the hormones in the seaweed will help trigger some root growth. They are tough little 'critters'... their environment is rough and exposed, so... any kind of relief that they would not normally get in nature, will give them a boost.
