My goal of these wilderness trail videos is to 1) show reverence for the beauty of the land, and 2) give YOU actionable trail information that can assist you in planning your own hike here.

This was a day-hike in Oregon, Mount Hood National Forest, Tilly Jane Trail to Tilly Jane A-Frame Log Cabin Shelter (rentable at recreation.gov), 5.3 miles and 1900+ elevation gain (from around 3800 ft to 5700 ft, in the alpine zone at 5000 ft and above). This is a steep to moderate ascent trail that is climbing the entire way on the Out part of the Out and Back. There is an Amphitheater near the Log Cabin as well. The sky was clear blue sky with a low of 53 and high of 73, this was hiked just after sunrise. This was hiked on 6/25/2022 and there were of NO Mosquitoes. I attempted to hike past the shelter to check out Cloud Cap and get on Timberline Loop Trail, but the wall o' snow was too thick, so end of June is too early in the year to extend this hike past Tilly Jane A-Frame Log Cabin Shelter. As far as road conditions, it's highway and well paved roads until the parking lot, so it was a very easy and safe driving route. In my opinion, the road most definitely DOES NOT require 4-Wheel Drive, however do watch for road conditions, particularly snow/ice depending on the time of year.
