Thank you to Honeybees & Orchids, for asking about what pointers to be mindful of when it comes to using Seramis and or leca as a growing media in Semi Hydro. In this video I take my experience with growing orchids, using these types of media, and apply it to the conditions of the Northern Hemisphere, which in winter is indoors, and in summer, very similar to my climate in Southern Spain. I hope that I answered the question satisfactorily and that the decision to try these media is easier to make or not. I am not advocating that this is the only way to grow orchids, but I am advocating that the media and set up, is not of the devil / orchid killer.
