Let There Be Light - Mindful Practices for the morning/evening. Every day brings renewal, freshness and an opportunity to tap into the light, love and peace within. Whether you’re a morning or night person, there is so much we can learn from the rising & setting of the sun.

1. Every moment is new

2. Light is non-selective, as is meditative awareness & Consciousness

3. Love, Peace & A settled mind (ישוב הדעת)

In addition to this mindful adventure, here are 2 morning meditation methods:

Method #1 (by Osho) : Hara Awareness Through the Breath (by Osho) https://oshosammasati.org/meditation/hara-awareness-breath/

Method #2 (by me) : Watch the world rise with the sun .

Step One- immediately after waking up, bring attention to the silent waking state (before thought enters) . This can be tricky, so be very alert ...like a tiger waiting for it’s prey ;-) Only the breath is there- no breather , just breath - be watchful.

Step Two: Next, with every sound (from indoors or outdoors), allow your attention to merge with it. For example- when a car passes by, attend to the sound as if it’s the only thing in existence. Ride the sound with awareness, and fade away with the sound as it also fades back to silence. This applies to every sound that arises, even car horns, neighbors chattering, alarm clocks, literally everything. You are witnessing the world come to life, in you.

Step Three: One should merge totally with the sense perception. When the perception begins and ends (sounds, and other sensations) , you must “end” with it. Returning back to the vast silence that is there immediately after waking.

Duration:
30 minutes (for beginner - mid)
5- 10 minutes (for experienced)

And don’t forget to inquire to oneself :
What am “I” , this observer ? (Without bringing in the mind to answer) Stay silent.

Namaste’
