In allowing oneself to tell the truth about the total image reflected in the mirror, the heart will naturally be open. The image reflected is fragmented as a mosaic of thought projections and experiences (resulting in ego, suffering, fear, etc); once the total picture is seen (and confessed within, without judgement), you see through a clear mind/mirror and the heart reveals it's openness and wholeness as your own eternal Being.
