SO CLOSE! 97.5 Kgs x 6 Bench Press. Bench Slump continues.

Well, the Bench Press slump continues. I sincerely believed with 99.99 percent certainty that I had that seventh rep, which would have nabbed me a rep PR for this weight. However, I flared my elbows a bit too early and my stupid foot slipped on the floor again, causing me to lose all strength and momentum. I at least hit my previous best, which I suppose is okay, but I really should have gotten that seventh rep, and I don't like ending a set on failure. I did a quick back-off set of three reps with 87.5 Kgs after this, but I just didn't feel like filming it. Just was deflated, and not in to it. I am going to have to try and get myself out of this benching funk. Perhaps start doing Larsen Presses as my accessory lift again, as that really seemed to help me with upper body performance/cues during benching. I also need to figure out some solution with this stupid slippery thin wooden floor, because I keep getting sabotaged by my feet slipping out of position when I am really trying to give it with the leg drive. Perhaps set something on the floor, or wear some other type of shoes. I dunno.
