#officerinvolvedshooting #policeshooting #stockton
Stockton police confirm that 30-year-old Officer Jimmy Inn was shot late Tuesday morning while responding to a domestic violence call.Around 9:45 a.m. the Stockton Dispatch Center received a call of a disturbance in the 4400 block of La Cresta Way in North Stockton.
The caller reported hearing screaming and saw a woman with a ripped shirt who was bleeding and appeared to have been assaulted.
Officer Inn was dispatched to the call and arrived at the home at 10:07 a.m. Shortly after he arrived, Ofc. Winn knocked on the security door and stood off to the side. A voice from inside the residence said, “Hey Police” and a man immediately opened the door shooting Officer Inn multiple times, say police.
Stockton police Officer Pancho Freer arrived on the scene while this was happening. He said he heard gunshots and saw the man standing over Officer Inn holding a gun. He exchanged gunfire with the suspect who shot Freer’s patrol car. Freer returned fire, then the suspect, 30-year-old Lance Lowe, then went back inside the home and re-emerged holding his 8-year-old boy in a stranglehold. Lowe refused to comply with the officer’s commands.

Crazy Man That Is Tweaking Out Points Gun At Police As They Chase Him Down The Street
#SpringfieldPoliceDepartment #DrugsKill
According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, police received a ShotSpotter activation report for five rounds of gunshots on High Street around 7:25 p.m. Sunday night. A nearby city camera was able to capture the moments after shots were fired, and showed 43-year-old Jose Montanez running in the street with a gun in his hand, pointing it at officers.
As police arrived, Montanez ran down the street but continued to turn around and point a gun at them. Walsh said officers were able to see the gun’s slide was locked, indicating the gun was out of ammunition. The video shows Montanez put the gun down at one point but then pick it back up. An additional ammunition magazine was also seen in his waistband.
Montanez continued running down the street as more officers arrived. According to Walsh, he ran to the back of High School of Commerce on State Street and allegedly tossed his gun onto school property before being arrested. Officers recovered the gun, which had been reported stolen, and the magazine in his waistband.

Man Has Gun In His Hand And Gets Fatally Shot Several Times By Long Beach Police Department
#OIS #AnthonyLoia #LongBeachPoliceDepartment
Family identified the deceased man as Anthony Loia, a 26-year-old father of two who was shot by police on Feb. 6 near the area of Magnolia Avenue and 14th Street, which is about a mile north of Long Beach Police Department’s downtown headquarters. Coroner’s officials have since formally identified the slain man as Loia, a resident of Corona.
“He loved his family so much. He had a smile that could light up a room,” his sister Raina Menezes said through tears at Saturday’s vigil. “He loved his kids so much, all he wanted to do was just be a good father.”
On the night of the shooting, police allege that Loia was walking in the area by Seaside Park, pointing a gun at people and passing cars around 9:15 p.m., according to a Long Beach Police Department news release following the incident.
According to LBPD, officers commanded Loia to drop the gun but he refused, and at least one officer opened fire. They rendered aid until the arrival of city Fire Department crews, who pronounced the Loia dead at the scene, police said.
Long Beach police noted in their previous news release that officers were quick to respond to the call about the man armed with a gun in part because it was in a neighborhood that’s seen a spate of violence recently. Since Jan 1, there had been five shootings in a five-block radius, the LBPD said.

Man Steals Car And Crashes In From of Cop Then Tries To Steal Cop Car Before Being Fatally Shot
#OIS #GardenGrovePoliceDepartment #GGPD
On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at approximately 01:20 hours, video surveillance from the AutoMax HB car dealership at 925 North Harbor Boulevard (Santa Ana) showed Salazar enter the car lot, run to a grey 2017 Dodge Challenger and enter the vehicle. Approximately two (2) minutes later, Salazar drove the vehicle off the lot, escaping undetected with the stolen vehicle At approximately 01:23 hours – within minutes of Salazar stealing the Challenger – Garden Grove Police Department Officer Jorge Mazon drove westbound on Trask Avenue approaching Harbor Boulevard. The intersection of Trask Avenue and Harbor Boulevard lies one mile north of the AutoMax HB car dealership.
Officer Mazon – having just finished a nearby investigation – was driving back to the GGPD station. As he neared Harbor heading westbound on Trask, Officer Mazon saw the Challenger “flying down Harbor” northbound toward Trask. Officer Mazon witnessed the Challenger collide with a raised center median pole and the center median running along Trask (just east of Harbor). The collision occurred directly in front of Officer Mazon as he approached the intersection. The severity of the collision, as described by Officer Mazon, was corroborated by the MAV footage. That footage shows the collision itself, including the portion wherein the front of the Challenger strikes the median, momentarily lifts into the air, and then settles to rest in the middle of the westbound lanes of Trask (just east of the intersection).
Officer Mazon stopped his patrol vehicle approximately ten (10) to fifteen (15) yards from the Challenger. He positioned the patrol vehicle in the lane nearest the Trask sidewalk. Officer Mazon’s patrol vehicle came to rest with the front wheels facing at an angle slightly toward the Challenger, which lay ahead, mostly in the next-interior lane. Based on the severity of the crash, Officer Mazon believed the driver of the Challenger was likely seriously injured. At the time, Officer Mazon was not aware that the Challenger was stolen from the AutoMax HB dealership just moments ago. According to Officer Mazon, he exited his patrol vehicle because “I want to help this person out … I’m thinking this person is either dead or severely injured because I saw how hard he crashed.”
Officer Mazon left the engine running in his patrol vehicle and the driver’s door partially open as he approached Salazar. Salazar walked directly towards Officer Mazon. Officer Mazon directed Salazar to the curb. Salazar continued walking towards Officer Mazon and pushed Officer Mazon with his right arm. Officer Mazon did not retaliate. Instead, Officer Mazon re-directed Salazar to sit on the curb and to “sit down … sit down.” Salazar then walked to the curb, but failed to comply with Officer Mazon’s repeated commands to sit down.
Salazar’s demeanor and uncooperative behavior, in context with the time of night and collision, led Officer Mazon to believe Salazar was under the influence of methamphetamine. He then walked off the curb, across the front of the patrol vehicle, and entered the driver’s seat of Officer Mazon’s patrol vehicle. Officer Mazon was still the lone officer on scene at this time. Officer Mazon gave Salazar multiple commands to exit the patrol vehicle. A struggle ensued whereby Officer Mazon attempted to get Salazar out of the patrol vehicle. Officer Mazon broadcasted a request to expedite his backup. GGPD Officer Omar Perez, who was dispatched to assist Officer Mazon, heard the sense of urgency in Officer Mazon’s voice and believed he was struggling. Officer Perez activated his emergency lights and siren as he responded.
Officer Mazon attempted to pull Salazar out of the patrol vehicle. Salazar said “[w]hat are you doing … why are you playing like that?” As Officer Mazon struggled to remove Salazar, Salazar said “I [unintelligible] kill myself … I don’t want to kill myself … I don’t want to do this … stop this… I can’t get myself arrested.” Officer Mazon repeatedly ordered Salazar to “stop … stop”. Salazar responded “alright … alright … I’ll do it.” Officer Mazon repeated “get out … get out … get out … get out … get out … get out … get out … hey … do me a favor … just get out.” Salazar responded “no.” Officer Mazon then repeated “just get out.” Salazar did not comply; instead, Salazar responded “why?” Officer Mazon repeated “just get out … get out.” As Salazar honked the horn, he stated “I can’t go … he’s stronger than me … you have to sh … [unintelligible] have to die.”

Man Comes Home To Find His Best Friend Over Dosing, Calls Anadarko Police Then Ends Up Fatally Shot
#AnadarkoPoliceShooting #SalinaLambert #OIS #AnadarkoOK
Anadarko police released bodycam footage Friday afternoon of an April shooting that killed a 25-year-old man. Silas Lambert called 911 around 1 a.m. on April 5 after his best friend overdosed.
When officers arrived at the 100 block of Nixon Drive, Lambert was agitated and aggressive. Police said the officer took Lambert outside to help de-escalate the situation. Minutes into the encounter outside, the officer learns Lambert is armed with a .40-caliber gun.
Anadarko Police Chief Eric Harlan said in a press conference Wednesday that Lambert ignored the officer’s several commands to put his hands in the air. When Lambert went to reach for the gun in his pocket, Harlan said was tased and later shot.
According to the medical examiner’s report, Lambert was shot four times. Three bullets hit Lambert’s right chest and another bullet hit his left arm. The report also revealed Lambert was not under the influence of anything during the incident. Lambert was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Two Anadarko police officers were involved in the incident: officers Maldonado and Harmon. Maldonado was shot in the arm and also received a head injury. It’s unclear whose bullet hit Maldonado.
Caddo County District Attorney Jackson Hicks determined Tuesday that both officers were justified in the April shooting.

On Tuesday June 14, 2021 around 7:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1800 Block of Druid Hill Avenue for an armed carjacking. The victim, a food delivery driver, was approached by a suspect that displayed a firearm and drove away in the victim’s vehicle.
A short time later, officers located the vehicle and activated their lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle. Naked 20+ Year Veteran Social Worker Wrongfully Raided By Chicago PD Then Treated Non-Human
Naked 20+ Year Veteran Social Worker Wrongfully Raided By Chicago PD Then Treated Non-Human! Used Federal Court To Block Release of Footage And No Officers Were Disciplined So Far!
Chicago police burst into the apartment of an innocent woman based on a faulty tip and handcuffed her while she was naked, forcing her to stand in full view of male officers as they searched her home, newly revealed body camera footage shows.
Local news outlet CBS 2, which has been investigating wrong-door raids by Chicago police for the past several years, first aired the footage of the 2019 incident last night, despite an attempt by the city of Chicago to block the TV station from running it.
"I feel like they didn't want us to have this video because they knew how bad it was," the woman in the footage, Anjanette Young, told CBS 2. "They knew they had done something wrong. They knew that the way they treated me was not right."
The body camera footage is part of a federal civil rights lawsuit filed by Young, who alleges the February 21, 2019 police raid traumatized her and violated her Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable searches and seizures.

New Bodycam Footage Just Released Of Cops Shooting Suspect With a Knife in Eugene, Oregon
New Bodycam Footage Just Realeased Of Cops Shooting Suspect With a Knife in Eugene, Oregon
The Lane County District Attorney's Office released body camera and dash camera video of the incident on Tuesday, along with a detailed account of what investigators believe happened. "Because there are pending criminal charges against Muhsin Sharif, to protect his trial rights, only video of the actual use of force is being released at this time," the DA said in a statement. "The first video is from Officer Trullinger’s body worn camera. The second video is from Officer Rankin’s in-car video."
On November 30, 2020, at approximately 10:21 a.m., Eugene Police received a report from a Lane County Deputy District Attorney (DDA) that a victim had contacted him via text and reported “He beat me up. He’s here.”
The DDA reported the message was from a recent victim from a previous violation of a Pennsylvania Restraining Order against Muhsin Sharif. The DDA reported he had not heard from the victim in approximately 10 minutes and believed she was in an active dispute and unable to use her phone.
EPD officers located the address of the victim and made contact. The victim reported Sharif had just left her residence. She stated Sharif may be armed with a knife, had made statements about fighting the police and potentially killing himself if the police were involved. The victim provided a physical description of Sharif as a 26-year-old mixed race adult, approximately 6’01 tall with an athletic build wearing a gray sweater, white shirt and green beanie.
During the conversation with the victim, EPD officers developed probable cause to believe Sharif had again violated his restraining order and committed the crimes of Assault and Strangulation constituting domestic violence while their minor child was present. Oregon law provides for mandatory arrest of a suspect under these circumstances.
At approximately 11:57 a.m., Eugene Police Patrol units and plain clothes officers located Sharif in the Washington/Jefferson Park and established surveillance there. At approximately 12:01 pm, Eugene Police officers attempted to contact Sharif in the park and he fled on foot.
The foot pursuit tracked westbound along 1st, south then west in the Jefferson Alley, south on Madison and then eastbound into the ally between Builder’s Electric and Oakshire Brewery. During the foot pursuit, Eugene Police personnel observed Sharif was armed with a knife as he ran and heard him yelling “I will kill you” repeatedly as he ran. Officers pursued him with lights, sirens and loud speakers. One officer on recording is heard yelling, “Stop, drop the knife.”
After entering the alley between Oakshire Brewery and Builder’s Electric, Sharif ran toward the southeast corner of a parking lot behind Oakshire. Within seconds of running into the parking area, Sharif quickly turned around before advancing toward the first Eugene Police officer that had entered the alley behind him. Officer Ryan Trullinger, who has been with EPD for four and a half years, observed the parking lot was enclosed, came to a stop in the alleyway several yards from Sharif and began to give him commands to “Stop” and to “Drop the Knife” as Sharif advanced quickly toward him. There was a clear path out of the alley to the passenger side of Officer Trullinger’s patrol vehicle.
Sharif ignored Officer Trullinger’s commands and quickly advanced toward the driver’s side of Officer Trullinger’s patrol vehicle. Sharif had the knife raised in his right hand and was yelling at Officer Trullinger. When Sharif reached the front driver’s corner of the patrol vehicle he accelerated toward Officer Trullinger as Officer Trullinger retreated, circling the rear of his vehicle. As Sharif cleared the rear corner of the patrol vehicle, Officer Trullinger fired his Glock 9 mm pistol four times while accelerating his retreat. Officer Trullinger later stated in his interview that he feared Sharif was going to stab him or someone else, and was in fear for his life. Officer Trullinger said he stopped shooting when Sharif fell to the ground as he perceived the threat was over.

Las Vegas Police Department Fatally Shoot Burglar While He Was Attacking Home Owners With A Hammer
Las Vegas police on Thursday afternoon released footage and details after officers fatally shot a burglar armed with a hammer early Tuesday morning.
Police say on Dec. 8 before 1:20 a.m. the suspect entered through a side door to a residence in the 5100 block of Spanish Heights Drive near Tropicana Avenue and Durango Drive. According to police, the suspect confronted two homeowners, 73 and 68 years old, while armed with a hammer and demanded money and car keys and said that the female resident was "coming with him."
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers Malik Grego-Smith and Dustin Xaypanya fired a combined total of six rounds at 40-year-old suspect Nathaniel Sironen, according to LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Brett Zimmerman.
According to Zimmerman, arriving officers from outside the house observed the suspect standing in the kitchen. Police showed body-worn camera footage of officers approaching the front door of the house and motioning to homeowners to open the door.
Footage shows the apparent resident opening the door, and a suspect charging toward the homeowner with the hammer as police entered. The homeowners were uninjured, Zimmerman said.
Police summoned medical assistance shortly after shooting Sironen, who was pronounced dead on scene.

Officer-Involved-Shooting- Mentally Ill Man And His Dog Attack Police Officers Inside His Home
Officer-Involved-Shooting- Mentally Ill Man And His Dog Attack Police Officers Inside His Home
On August 5, 2020, around 2:25 p.m., LAPD, uniformed patrol officers, assigned to Hollywood Division, responded to a "Male with a Mental Illness" radio call for service, at the 1100 block of N. Wilton Place. The radio call comments indicated that the suspect suffered from a mental illness disorder and was attempting to cut himself with the scissors. Additional, comments indicated the suspect had a Rottweiler dog on a leash. The suspect was later identified as 32-year-old, Alfonso Mauldin.
When the officers arrived, they located Mauldin inside his apartment, armed with scissors and holding a leashed dog. The officers attempted to use verbalization techniques to de-escalate the situation but then Maudlin suddenly released his dog and they both charged at the officers, which resulted in the deployment of a fire extinguisher, a bean bag (less lethal munitions) and an Officer-Involved-Shooting.
Mauldin was not struck by gunfire and was taken into custody without further incident.
One officer sustained a gunshot wound to the right forearm from a round fired by another officer during the altercation when Mauldin charged the officers with his dog. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured officer to a local hospital where the officer was medically treated and released.
In addition, the dog suffered from an unidentified injury and was transported to a veterinarian for medical treatment. The veterinarian was unable to determine if the dog's injury was a gunshot wound or puncture/stab wound.
LAPD's specialized Force Investigation Division (FID) responded to the scene and began interviewing witnesses and collecting forensic evidence. A representative from the Office of the Inspector General responded and monitored the scene investigation.
The complete investigation will be reviewed by the Chief of Police and the Board of Police Commissioners and the Office of the Inspector General to determine the thoroughness and accuracy of the investigation and whether the use of deadly force complied with LAPD's policies and procedures. Additionally, representatives from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office who responded to the scene will review the subsequent FID investigation; evidence collected and witness statements to determine if the force used by the officers(s) was reasonable.

A grey Chevy cruz was stopped in the roadway, facing southbound and two passengers, suspect 1 and suspect 2, from the vehicle had exited and were firing handguns at a victim. The victim ran north on Budlong Avenue, pursued by suspect 2. When the officers stopped their vehicle, suspect 1 turned and pointed his handgun in the direction of the officers; at that time there was an officer-involved shooting.
Suspect 1 entered the passenger side of the grey sedan, which fled south on Budlong Avenue and crashing into a pole at Budlong Avenue and 35th Street. The occupants of the sedan fled on foot.
A large perimeter was established to search for the suspects. While maintaining the perimeter, a male was detained by officers. The male, later identified as 34-year-old Brandon Maxwell, was the registered owner of the grey sedan and had minor injuries, which appeared to be from broken glass. Maxwell was booked for attempt murder. No additional suspects were found during the search.
No officers were injured during the incident.
Two handguns were located at the scene and booked as evidence.
