Harrison Craig / George Perris - Broken Vow
Broken Vow was written by Lara Fabian & Walter Afanasieff and first recorded by Lara in 1999, I think it is one of the most beautiful and saddest songs ever written. Many artists have recorded it including Josh Groban. Harrison Craig, winner of the second season of 'The Voice' in Australia had a hit with the song in Australia and I thought it would be a good idea to splice two versions of the song together and make it a duet. The other vocalist is Greek singer George Perris.

ABBA - Hamlett III (Autumn Days)
Unreleased song by ABBA recorded in 1978. There are several titles for this song as ABBA often had working titles and tried out songs in several styles before deciding on the right one. Hamlett III is the title of the instrumental part which was later recorded by Benny Andersson on his first solo album in 1987 and called 'Lottis Schottis'.
'Autumn Days' is the song with vocals by Agnetha & Frida.

Melodysheep (Judy Garland) - Oh My (The Wizard Of Oz)
I think this is really clever where melodysheep takes dialogue and turns it into a song. This one takes the dialogue of Judy Garland and the cast of 'The Wizard Of Oz'. There is a video that goes with the song which can be found on:
https://www.youtube.com/@melodysheep
Melodysheep is John D. Boswell, a Washington State based musician and filmmaker.

Waving The Craving Goodbye
This song sounds like something Willie Nelson would sing, we had a lot of fun recording it, John decided he wanted to take on the lead vocal so I got relegated to backing vocals. Still don't have a decent studio copy of the recording so this tape transfer to an open mic recording will have to do.

When You're Not Here
I was hugely influenced by the Carpenters when writing this song and we even recorded it on the anniversary of Karen's birthday or death, can't remember which now. Anne did a very good impersonation of Karen when singing the song before we put down the final vocal, but I think I was premature in recording the demo as I don't feel the song is completed and needs more work. John did a great job with all the instruments especially the guitar solo. Again I don't have a decent studio copy of the recording until I can find a way of copying tape to digital format.

The Rules Of Your Emotions
This is one of the earliest songs I wrote many years ago, I'm not even sure now if I ever recorded it myself. This version was done by one of those mail order demo services who generally speaking completely ignore your composition and phrasing and just do their own thing. Most were dreadful, but now and then something came back that was interesting even if it was different to the way that I wrote the song. This is one of the latter. Don't know who the singer is or any of the personnel involved in the recording. Again I don't have a decent copy of the master so a third rate version will have to do for now. I have some reservations about the lyrics but I still like the song, but it really does need re-recording bringing it up to date.

Nonchalant
Years ago I started writing a book similar to Harry Potter and around the same time, but mine was based on a journey through the Zodiac. Years later I decided to turn it into a musical and started to write songs for it. This is the Capricorn song.
Unfortunately this is another song where I don't have access to a the original master and was copied from tape to an open mic on my computer, so until then this version will have to do.

I Could Fall In Love
I'm really proud of this song, it was written about someone I used to see from afar and fell madly in love with, or so I thought, I did get to meet them later and told them about the song, they looked at me as if I was mad. Another dream shattered !

Somewhere In Time (Dawn Caile's version)
Dawn Caile recorded my song back in 1996 as a tribute to the Dunblane School Massacre and while it was played for about a week on radio it was quickly replaced by the children of the village singing
'Knocking on heaven's door' which became a no.1 hit. No one was interested in my song after the release of the choir's song, but I wasn't happy with the recording by Dawn which didn't go down well with...well everyone. I still feel my version with Anne Hamilton is the better version even though it's a demo, after all, I produced it !.
On this version by Dawn they changed some of the lyrics without my permission. But here it is anyway and with my lyrics on the video.

This is the actual final mix backing track to the song without the vocals which was intended for performances, but now it's the only decent copy I have so I thought let's post it as well so you can hear how the song should sound.

Talking To Superman
This was one of the first songs I ever wrote, but I had trouble with the music so I asked a friend Mike Coppock to help me out and he wrote most of the music. Unfortunately I don't have a good copy of the recording now, hopefully I can find one someday, so this third rate copy will have to do. Hopefully it's not too bad for you guys, if you want to hear how the songs really sounds then listen to the Instrumental backing track version which I posted.

Only You And The Moon
We're getting close to the end of the good quality recordings I did with John & Anne Hamilton, as I no longer have the equipment to transfer my other songs from tape, unless I use bad quality clicking versions, which I might. Only 11 songs recorded with Anne on vocals were transfered to CD.
I Wasn't that happy with the way this one turned out, we had to change the key for Anne. But now I can't see why I was so concerned, I still think it's good enough to be heard.

No One Else But You
I wrote this song to be entered into the heats for the Eurovision song contest in the UK, can't remember when now, probably around 1997. John did quite a lot of work for Eurovision entries at the time, in fact one of the UK's singers who represented in the UK in the late 1990's used the same studio. I didn't think the song stood a chance which didn't make me very popular, It ended up coming 10th, but I digress. I didn't submit my song in the end as I thought it would stand no way of becoming a UK contender, let's face it, most of the UK's songs over the last 25 years have been terrible. But that said Anne didn't like my song either. I still like it though and I hope you do too.

Crystal Sings The Country Blues
This is a song I wrote over 20 years ago, I thought it was about time I put some of my songs out there. The vocalist is Anne Hamilton, and the engineer and musician is her husband John Hamilton. The song was written about one of my favourite singers, Crystal Gayle. There was some interest in the song by a record company at the time but they thought the lyrics being about a real person would put singers off. But now there are many songs about singers, 'Springsteen' & 'Tim McGraw' come to mind.

I Could Fall In Love
Another song recorded many years ago with John & Anne Hamilton. This is one of my favourite songs and is based on a real event that has basically happened to me, well all my life. I submitted this song in an assignment at college and got marked down to a merit because of one chord ! Which according to the teacher doesn't belong in this key, what does he know !

Colour In My Mind
This is the first song I recorded with John & Anne Hamilton back in the 1990's. Not sure what I was writing about now, and I feel the third verse is a little weird, a fourth verse was scrapped ! Again the vocalist is Anne Hamilton who has an amazing voice.
