Freeman Bird RTC 2024
The Lost Tribes of Israel and the Law of Moses
Freeman Bird was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his youth, he visited and lived in many nations because of his Father’s job as a salesman. When he turned eighteen, he decided he no longer believed in God, and consequently decided to have his records removed from the church. In the years that followed, he went through a period where he tried to find what he could call, “truth”. Freeman found himself at opposite ends of reality. One year, he was an atheistic communist, another year he imagined paganism was the answer. It would be some time before his wanderings led him back to the beginning of his journey – back to Mormonism. However, in what can only be properly described as a “path of miracles”, he ended up not in the mainline church, but as a member of Christ’s Church, the Righteous Branch. Freeman is now serving as a full-time missionary, teaching people the fundamental fullness of the gospel in hopes that others might experience something akin to his own experiences. Freeman has a deep love of history and religion, and seeks to gather all the truth that Mormonism has a divine right to.

Zoe Erickson RTC 2022 - The Law and the Prophets in the Mouth of the Messiah
Zoe Erickson is Joshua Erickson’s oldest child and, while she has helped to run the RTC for the last two years, this is her first time speaking. She may or may not be moderately terrified. The story of how this came about is actually rather funny. Last year, after the last talk was over, the last people gone, and all that was left was the cleanup, she opened her mouth on a whim and said “I’ll talk next year.” Almost instantly, she was yelling at herself internally, wondering how she could have been so impulsive, but it was too late. The bridge was burned, the die was cast. She had said she’d speak and wouldn’t let herself back out of it, and the rest, they say, is history.
Aside from speaking at conferences, she has many other things which keep her busy. She sews costumes and other things (she worked for six months sewing the Austrian drapes that go in LDS temples), takes care of her six younger siblings, paints, sings and plays several instruments (at the time of this conference she is in the cast for the musical, Cries of Freedom, which is a part of the Independence Day Freedom Festival in Orem/Provo). She reads voraciously, and writes equally voraciously (she is currently working on the second and a half draft of her novel, In Culver’s Camp).
Soli Deo Gloria.

Joshua Jessop on Emotion- New Moon Fireside Rosh Chodesh Av, 5783
Joshua Jessop speaking on Emotion
This is an upload of a live Fireside meeting given on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
Joshua Jessop was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ from his youth by a very knowledgeable father, and so he is familiar with the functions of the church, priesthood, and Kingdom of God, and has been introduced to the way the Lord operates. Often simple things have profound implications in the gospel, and he is a studier of these things. He learns by both study and faith, and often pairs study and faith together in his learning to produce astounding results. While he doesn’t have much experience in sharing the things he has learned, he has a deep desire to share the wondrous simplicities of the gospel.

Nathan Swasey - The Burden and Birthright of Ephraim Today- RTC 2023
RTC 2023 Friday session May 26, 2023, in Lindon Utah
https://restorationtorahconference.org/
Speaker details:
Nathan Swasey grew up in the Utah-based LDS Church. As an adult he found the arguments concerning Torah to be perfectly compelling, and developed a love for the name of God. Although the members of the church were accepting and welcoming, and although he remains a believer in the Restored Gospel and in the prophetic mission of Joseph Smith, these things made it hard for him to stay in the Church. After leaving the formal Church he moved to Missouri to start a new life and there he has been refining his arguments among a hostile, oppositional people ever since.
