Orbital ATK, Space Florida Breathe New Life Into Old Launch Pad
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Orbital ATK and Space Florida, the agency responsible for the maintenance of the Sunshine's State aerospace industry have been working to return some of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complexes back to life. One of these, SLC-46, could see new life as early as this August with the launch of a Minotaur IV rocket with the ORS-5 mission and its payload of the SensorSat for the U.S. Air Force’s Operationally Responsive Space Office.

Launch of NASA's CRS-11 mission on SpaceX Falcon 9
NASA and SpaceX successfully launched the eleventh Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-11) mission from KSC's Launch Complex 39A. The mission lifted off on a Dragon spacecraft perched atop its Falcon 9 rocket. It marked the first reuse of a Dragon pressure vessel (previously used on CRS-4 in 2014) and the 100th mission that has launched from LC-29A. Nearly 6,000 lbs worth of cargo were launched in the CRS-11 Dragon.
