Where do great tits spend the winter and what kind of food do they eat?
Blue tits are small birds that can be found throughout Europe and in parts of Asia. During the winter months, blue tits are forced to adapt to cooler temperatures and a lack of food.
To do this, they grow more feathers for insulation and fluff up their feathers to create air pockets that retain body heat. They also gather in groups to keep warm and may even take shelter in bird boxes or other hiding places.
In terms of food, blue tits eat a variety of seeds, nuts, and insects, but may have more seeds and nuts in their diet during the winter months. To provide enough food, blue tits hoard food in crevices or hide it in bark to eat later.
In general, blue tits use a variety of strategies to survive the winter, including adapting to the outdoors, sharing shelters for warmth, and storing food for future use.

Stork fidelity
Very interesting video, please watch. you won't see this anywhere.
Sometimes storks have to keep the right to their nest, entering into a real battle with the invaders. #stork #storks #White stork #stork nest
So, more than once I had to watch how a stork family living in the neighborhood fought with another pair of birds. Their life was measured: they flew in in the spring, collected the nest in order, shouted and looked after each other, preparing to lay eggs. And then one fine day other storks began to appear, circling, pushing a couple out of their native nest. Neighboring storks first took up defensive positions, and when it became too hot in the nest, they took off and began to fight back in the air.

How do squirrels survive the winter?
I am amazed at the dexterity of this beast, capable of climbing a tree in an instant. Its sharp claws on its flexible fingers help it to do so. The squirrel immediately grabs the bark of the tree with all its paws, sits down and jumps. In case of danger, it flies up to the tree top or to the nest with an arrow and moves in a spiral toward the nest. The fluffy tail serves as a balancer. Especially in long jumps from tree to tree. In addition, the tail is an excellent warming pad. In cold weather, the animal curls up into a ball and covers itself with its fur.

A quick inspection for the presence of mice!
20.12.21 I decided to listen to the bees for mice. In one of the hives, I found a little noise that kept me awake. When I opened the hive, I made sure there were no mice there. I will continue to hope that all will be well.
