As a parent who has shared the joy of reading with my kids for over a decade, I believe that reading time is a cherished part of our daily lives. Research shows that shared reading not only enhances literacy skills but also strengthens emotional bonds and fosters imagination (e.g., Whitehurst & Lonigan, 1998).
