"Water Your Own Yard" performed by Wayne Rockingham Brown and The Ballistic Pintos (c) 1997
"Water Your Own Yard", a song written by Tom Skinner, Greg Jacobs, Charkie Christian and Bobby Keel. Released on The Ballistic Pintos CD "Pintomania", in 1997. Wayne Rockingham Brown (June 19, 1950-October 23, 2007) provides lead vocals.
"Who are the Ballistic Pintos?
Imagine a melting pot, if you will, of Blues, Bluegrass, Country, Southern Rock, throw in a touch of The Beatles, along with a heaping helping of Dylan, Lightfoot, Willie, Roy Acuff... well, I hope you’re beginning to get the picture.
The Ballistic Pintos were founded by singer/songwriters Bobby Keel, Wayne Brown and Kenny Baggett after a trip to Oklahoma where the trio opened for Honky-Tonk king Joe Stampley. With the addition of Brannon Lee on percussion, bassist Craig Skinner and Steve Mason on guitar, the Pintos are ready to explode. Known primarily for his songwriting ability, Bobby Keel has received 13 Gold and 11 Platinum awards for sales in excess of 15 million units.
Bobby feels the lifeblood of any band is its ability to produce a continuous flow of great songs. The playlist of the Pintos includes many of the songs we all grew up with, but the band feels its heart and soul lies in its original songs. You’ll hear everything from “Rocky Top” to “Locomotive Breath” in a Ballistic Pintos show.
The Ballistic Pintos offer quality entertainment for the entire family and look forward to entertaining you in the near future.

"They Don't Make 'Um Like They Used To" Performed by David Jones of The Carter Family, Words & Music by Philip Adams
"They Don't Make 'Um Like They Used To", a PoPaBiLLy MuZic original Song #14 (c) 9/14/1998. Written by Philip Adams, and Music Composed by the Great and late David Jones of The Carter Family. This song recognizes characteristics young men commonly identify and learn about first-hand, directly from the example set before them, their mothers. The tender-loving care, concern and patience, understanding and interest, patience and kindness, nurturement and encouragement our mothers tirelessly show, unconditionally. Most of our mothers establishing a very distinguishing model. By setting a bar so high, it seems as if, now-a-days especially, it is extremely difficult for some women to come even close to living up to those standards. The level of matriarchal loyalty, dedication, and success needed to give our men something to aspire to be brave, strong and confident for, is now-a-days, practically unfounded. Many women now-a-days live as a token of conflict and dissension, volatility and hostility, lasciviousness and infidelity. Conscientious women and mothers do their best to try and warn their sons against these possible snares. Then, later on, sometimes those sons will grow-up, and remember their mothers' wisdom in song. Memorializing the many ways they made great efforts to guide and direct their path. Hoping it would find them a life full of peace, happiness, and harmony. This song written by Philip Adams, echoes his mother's warnings for him to be watchful and diligent in his life-long commitments. Altogether, the song is a gentle and careful reminder that men and women need to be more dedicated to the roles they were intended to fulfill to one another. So, that together, the two become one, and are able to live in symbiotic bliss. Bliss, which is the gift and reward we are promised to receive for being mindful of our intended created purpose. A purpose that requires us to fulfill our God given roles, and duties, we are vitally needed to perform. Performing with modesty and dignity, in our relationships. God bless. Special thank you to Vicki Langdon for sharing one of her amazing photos of Philip's dear friend, David Jones, with his mother, Helen Carter of The Carter Family.

"This Is Not Goodbye" Written & Performed by Tim Thompson of the Unknown Outlaws
Original song written, performed, & produced by Tim Thompson, one of PoPaBiLLy MuZic's Unknown Outlaws. Tim Thompson has been writing songs since he was a kid, a passion the El Paso, Texas native continues to express in his home-built studio. Tim recently retired from teaching choir, guitar, and digital music production at El Paso High School. He now plays music full time in several New Mexico venues and in El Paso! If you are ever out there, near the edge of Texas, catch a Tim Thompson LIVE music show! Thank you, Tim, for allowing PoPaBiLLy MuZic to produce a music video rendering for the song, "This Is Not Goodbye". Tim's song is an inspirational song for those who have been temporarily separated from the ones they have loved and walked the closest to in this life. It is a reminder that a great banquet and reunion awaits those who continue on until the end of their race, drawing near to the one who is our source of all comfort, peace, and strength. Tim's reassuring spiritual lyrics and melody will have you feeling blessed by the promise of a new beginning that we are all able to look forward to! Thank you again, Tim. You did a super great job on, "This Is Not Goodbye"! We really enjoyed representing your compassionate and consoling song's message in images. God bless!

"Son Going Down" Written & Performed by Bobby Keel (of the Ballistic Pintos)
"Son Going Down" is an original song written by Bobby Keel, of The Ballistic Pintos. He is a well-known singer/songwriter from Clarksville, TN, with many achievements. It has been a privilege of the producers of PoPaBiLLy MuZic to receive the honor of creating this music video interpretation of one of his songs that is a particular favorite! Thank you Bobby! It was our pleasure putting all the puzzle pieces together to tell your song's story in images!
With the existential crisis of illegal street recreational drugs flooding across our borders, the threat and sickness of addiction is more surreal now, more than ever. The devastating wake of illicit drug use and addiction on the lives of those surrounding those who are afflicted, are catastrophic. Aside from the original threat and risks of recreational drug use, there are now new levels of peril. Such as "substitutions", "dilutions", "contaminations", and "adulterations". The result? Instant morbidity, and/or mortality. Non-sanctioned/non-medical/non-prescribed use of these controlled substances is considered drug abuse. They are likely to create physical or psychological dependency, chronic irreversible illness/symptoms, and/or death. According to the drug statistics website, people aged 12 years and older, have used illicit drugs. Drug use is highest among persons between the ages of 18-25. There have been approximately one million overdose deaths since 2000, and over 96,000 deaths in 2024 alone. The fact that this song was written in the summer of '82, and received BMI clearance on October the 22nd in 1984, and is still applicable to the American story today, is shocking and should heighten the concern of every single member of our communities!
This song, written by Bobby Keel of Clarksville, TN, and who performs with The Ballistic Pintos, tells a heavy-hearted story. Of a father, who has been given no other choice, but to sit and watch his only begotten be overcome by the seething spiral of drug addiction, having to realize the loss of all hope. This song's presentation admonishes the realistic sense of the old man's fear of loss, and inability to maintain his grip, while his son clings to, "the monkey on his back". Philip Adams considers Bobby a good friend, and deeply respects Bobby's gifts, talents, and contributions to music. It was exciting to learn Bobby was interested in a PoPaBiLLy MuZic music video rendering of his timeless and tragic tune, "Watching His Son Going Down", or also known as, "Son Going Down". Thank you again Bobby! This song has been one of Philip's favorites for over 28 years, and is an emotional sobering reminder to be watchful and diligent.

"Texas Won't Tennessee Me No More" Performed by The Unknown Outlaws, Written by Philip Adams
A "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library" original Song #28. PoPaBiLLy MuZic's Unknown Outlaws perform a song that was written as a living testimony of the writer's (Philip Adams') exodus from Texas to Tennessee. He packed up his pick-up and put his foot to the floor, and said, "Texas won't Tennessee Me No More". Philip packed up everything he had, everything he had he was able to pack. Packed and loaded, he put his foot to the floor and headed toward the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Usually stopping at every other Stuckey's or Shell Fuel Stop exit, off of the 30 to 40 corridors. Writing down lyric after lyric manifesting, while driving, to his new and rose-colored destination! Everyone experiences moments in their life where they feel they may need drastic changes or upheavals. Significant revisions needed to redirect their trajectory, or remove themselves from unpredictable, possibly hazardous surroundings, or a mindset. Hoping to reform their mindset with a newer, fresher, and more promising positive outlook and environment to thrive in. Eliminating any potential risks and/or threats that once may have casted a sense of gloom or doom upon us. This song is a living testament of what it sometimes takes to be a goal-driven individual, executing a plan-of-action, taking the best possible directions, and setting the bravest examples that will set a precedent for future generations to look up to, and aspire to be. The lesson to learn here, is sometimes, carefully assessed risks, can turn out to be the first steps that lead towards greater strides of success! What is concerning is to wonder what in the world might have happened to us, if we had not have chosen to make some of those 180 degrees turns, that did turn out to be a blessing in disguise!

"Liquor, Wine, & Beer" Performed by Unknown Outlaw Mike Foster
"PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library" original Song #6, (c) 5/3/1989. Performed by Mike Foster of The Unknown Outlaws. Mike and Philip were at it, as usual, penning lyrics to their next biggest hit! This time, Mike had the song just about finished, but there was one line that troubled him. The old line was, "I could think of better things to do, if I could reach out and touch you." Mike told Philip he wasn't sure about the line because it sounded like a telephone commercial. Philip said, "na, that ain't no good, I could think of better things to do, if I was laying next to you." And WA LA! The song was born! "Liquor, Wine, & Beer", a song that is advertised everywhere there is a, "Liquor, Wine, & Beer" sign!! "Tattoo Tommy" by Philip Adams of The Unknown Outlaws
"PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library" original Song #81(b), "Tattoo Tommy" (c) 1/6/2014. This is a dark, haunting, and perplexing tune. This song is a creative representation of street trends that involve utilizing symbolic language to identify a street drug sale between dealers and users. It is language commonly practiced in their trade disguising the true nature of their activity. It allows the subtle nuances these illicit drug traffickers are looking for to camouflage their lifestyle and activity from other suspicious observers. This song is a true depiction in metaphoric form of the true effects a lifestyle of this nature can foster. The song's illustration of planning for, paying for, and receiving a new tattoo is a representation of drug trafficking "code" language; and is meant to parallel the intrinsic obsessive behavior of drug addiction, abuse, and overt debasement. What this dark, creative song metaphorically illustrates is the same exact nature of drug addiction and abuse in tandem with the obsession of collecting and receiving excessive tattoos. Performed by Philip Adams; Words & Music by Philip Adams; produced by Philip Adams.
Viewer Discretion is Advised: This song is a creative representation of explicit illicit behaviors and activities that some viewers may view as offensively graphic. Viewer discretion is advised.

"A Storehouse For Pain" by Mike Foster of The Unknown Outlaws
A "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library" original, Song #30, (c) 2/16/1992. Original Unknown Outlaw, Philip Adams, is a singer/songwriter from Garland, TX. Is a widower of Carter Family/Sister Third Generation Performer Rosey Carter-The Wildwood Rose. He says this song idea manifested when he and his other original Unknown Outlaw and friend, Mike Foster, went to check on one of their mutual close friend's widow. A month after she lost her husband, and their daughter, in a tragic car accident in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area. It was evident when they pulled up to their house it was already in a state of array and deteriorating. It was in an affluent neighborhood, yet the grass had not been mowed, in weeks. Newspapers were all piling up in the yard. The house looked deserted. She invited them in the house. The contents of the house are described in the song. When they were making their leave and driving away, Philip commented to his co-writer on this song Mike Foster, "Man, this house is just a storehouse for pain." Mike said write that down, and then the song was written. This is a song demo performed by Mike Foster. It was later recorded by Ronnie Ray, on his CD. "All Dressed Up and No Place to Go". Ronnie Ray was lead guitar player for Charley Pride.

A Storehouse For Pain
This old house will never be the same,
The Lord called you home, there's no one to blame.
Your picture is there, on our color TV,
It doesn't matter where I sit, it looks straight at me.
No this old house, will never be the same,
Since you've gone to Heaven, It's a store house for pain.
The floor needs mopping, there's dishes in the sink,
I've got liquor in the cabinet, it hurts so much to think.
The papers in the front yard, are all piling up,
I don't read my horoscope, it's always been bad luck.
No this old house, will never be the same,
Since you've been gone to Heaven, it's a store house for pain.

"Cry Baby Holler" by Philip Adams and The Unknown Outlaws
"PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library", oiginal Song #3. Unknown Outlaw, Philip Adams, is a singer/songwriter/producer born and raised in Garland, Texas. "Cry Baby Holler" is a song idea that originally came from Philip Adams' friend Merle Kilgore. Merle is in the song writing Hall of Fame, co-wrote, "Ring of Fire" with June Carter (back when June and Johnny were falling in love), and he was Hank Williams Jr.'s manager. Back then, Rosey Carter (June's daughter) was Philip's wife, and they first heard about the song from a friend known as Poo Bah, (Don Mealer). Philip was intrigued with the song and visioned a different story behind it. Rosey naturally wanted to hear his version, so she put him up to the challenge of writing and producing it. Rosey always called Philip a "word smith". They spent hours writing songs together and helped many other songwriters polish out some of their songs. Rosey and Philip's version of, "Cry Baby Holler" made the grade and got a thumbs up from Merle. Merle's remark was, "it looks like we have two versions of the song." How about that! This song is a creative representation of Local/Rural "Americana/Virginiacana" Folklore, this is a song about a Holler! A valley within a valley. This is definitely a Blue Grass Hit, with a catchy cadence. The fiddle crying in the background croons you through the living lucid dream of hiking in an icy harrowed holler. The expressive emotional melodic sound mounts to a bone chilling height of senseless temptation that lures and traps you within the haunt of "Cry Baby Holler"!!!
CAUTION: This song is about a tragedy that involves the death of an infant due to an illness and results in a haunting. It is intended to be a creative representation of rural folklore. Viewer discretion is advised.

"It Runs In The Family" by The Unknown Outlaws, Words & Music by Philip Adams and Jack M Holland
"It Runs In The Family", song #36 from Rosey Carter-The Wildwood Rose's and Philip Adams', "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library", (c) 1/2/1997. This single by The Unknown Outlaws, is an original song written by singer/songwriter/producer from Garland, TX, Philip Adams, and also Jack M Holland, of McMinnville, TN. This song's version musical arrangement is New Traditional Country Style Music. The lyrics almost parallel the redeeming romance and close relationship of Philip's late Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Johnny Cash and June Carter. This musical whirlwind sheds light on our origins, and the roots from whence all family tree branches grow from. It is also a reminder of where mankind originally took their first steps off the beaten path. Without those steps, we would not have learned the redeeming power and path of love and family (and don't forget music too!!!) to help us so we are "able" to find our way back on track again! "Master of My Soul" by Cleda Jane, Philip Adams, Bobby Keel, & Wayne Brown of The Ballistic Pintos
"Master of My Soul", (c) 3/24/1996, Song #60 from the, "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library". Words and music by singer/songwriter/producer from Garland, TX, Philip Adams, and Nashville songwriters Wayne Brown and Bobby Keel (also of The Ballistic Pintos). Performed by Session Singer, Cleda Jane Cochran Song #60 from the "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Library". This demo was recorded in Nashville during a Ballistic Pintos recording session. Bobby Keel was tickling the keys, rehearsing for this song. One of the Pintos session vocalists began to sing the lyrics. Her vocals sounded absolutely stunning, especially with Bobby Keel's piano playing behind her! (Even though she sounds just like Cher, no, She is not Cher performing lead vocals on this cut, she is Cleda Jane). This Music Video is a beautiful marriage of words, music, and video. It manifests a palpable understanding of the intrinsic power of our Lord using breathtaking metaphoric imagery. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Life is like an ocean odyssey, full of peril and chaos. Our bodies much like ships on the ocean, tossed about carried by the will of the current. The best possible course we can chart, is with our Savior at the helm, gladly steering our hearts for us to our final destination and home! God speed!!

"The Richest Family in Poor Valley" Performed by Don "PooBah" Mealer
"The Richest Family in Poor Valley", song #65 from the, "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library", (c) 7/13/1999. The Original Carter Family, a humble family from Poor Valley, Virginia, who poured their heart and soul into their music. This was at the core of the "Big Bang" of Country Roots Music. The Carter Family represented a special, one-of-a-kind link to traditional roots music that drew from the established lifestyles in Appalachian “mountain music” when The Carter Family started recording in 1927. Their love for family and sharing their lives together in music is/was their wealth, because it was enough to satisfy, leaving nothing more to want. Thus, making them, "The Richest Family in Poor Valley". This music track was originally created as a demo. Philip Adams from Garland, Texas was originally inspired to write this song, due to his personal heart connection with his wife Rosey Carter and experiences in Poor Valley, VA. The co-writer providing vocals and music arrangement on this track is Don "PooBah" Mealer, of Nashville, TN. This recording of "The Richest Family in Poor Valley" is an acoustic set, possessing an Outlaw/Red Dirt Country Music sound/appeal. With its back porch feel, having a stripped-down, rough-cut nature. This style of music playing is most notably very desirable and popular in Oklahoma and Texas music scenes. For many, it is a preferred and very enjoyable listen. It is off-the-cuff, organic, with a soul-bearing quality that Don Mealer delivers with a palpable feel of the songwriters' heart's intentions. Most importantly though, it inadvertently puts the spotlight directly on their words, and the story behind their song. Which makes this style of presentation for this song the "chef's kiss"! This visual and musical creation pays tribute to the heart connections made by the First Family of Country Roots Music, and Philip's wife and "PooBah's" close friend, Rosey Carter.

"There's Nothing That Can't Be Done" by The Unknown Outlaws
Song #28 from the "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library", words and music by Philip Adams and Bobby Boyd-two of the original Unknown Outlaws. Philip Adams-singer, songwriter, producer from Garland, Texas corralled a co-writing cohort that he collectively wrote songs with when he tied on his muffler with a guitar string and headed to McMinnville, TN back in 1995. He became friends with co-writer Bobby Boyd, who he met through his other co-writer friend Jack Holland, who he originally met through his co-writer close personal friend Mike Foster. Jack had a night club called, "Starlight Club" in McMinnville. Bobby would come to town and sit in with Philip, Jack, and the band. While playing music together, entertaining others, and making memories. Rosey's and Philip's "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library" increased. One song Philip and Jack Holland wrote together, "It Runs In The Family", was recently released on You Tube at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycZJrzLSems.
The inspiration behind "There's Nothing That Can't Be Done", is one of Philip's North Stars, his Mother. Just like the constant North Star, her far-reaching brightness was a constant in his life. Her words of wisdom rang true in his life, resonating with that classic undeniable Southern grit. He and his co-writing cohort would memorialize her Southern Sage influence in song with, "There's Nothing That Can't Be Done". This song is an existential tribute to the constant love and devotion of Mother figures. The ones who unconditionally nurture and instill in future generations the enduring hope and encouragement needed to press on through life, come what may. We all have our unique life imprints and callings we are meant to pursue and are drawn to. The Mother figure's mission is to patiently stand by with a heart full of joy, gently guiding, while watching destinies unfold.

"Big Dreams" Performed by Rosey Carter-The Wildwood Rose
"Big Dreams" (for a little girl), is song #37 from the "PoPaBiLLy MuZic Song Library", (c) 4/13/2002. An original song written by Philip Adams -his late wife, Rosey Carter Adams (The Wildwood Rose of The Carter Family), and the late Bob House. Bob House's contributions to this song incorporate the storyline of a dancer in the lyrics. Bob must have loved writing songs about dancing, because he also wrote Anne Murray's hit song, "Can I Have This Dance". This song was originally inspired during a visit Rosey and Philip made to their friend Tommy Robert's home. Tommy's daughter was then 6 years old. She told Philip and Rosey that when she grew up, she was going to be a big star just like Rosey one day. Philip told her, "You got big dreams little girl!" The minute those words came out of Philip's mouth, he knew he had a great hook for song. Philip chewed on it in his head for a while. Then one day during a songwriting session at Rosey and Philip's house, while Bob House was present in the round, the sweetest inspirational song for little girls was born! Rosey's performance on this recording is felt with a strong emotional dramatic appeal that makes you just want to reach right out your arms and give that little dancing girl with "Big Dreams" a big hug!!! The song's lyric storyline of a dancing little girl demands the gorgeous mellow fluid timbre of the cello backing the images of a delicate floating ballerina. The melody of this song closely resembles a delightful tune one would hear from a wind up music box dancer. This is a very precious tender-hearted song and video reflecting the "Big Dreams" of a little girl, using nostalgia, fairy tale imagery, with hints of maternal love and instincts. Now a days people say, "Go Big or Go Home". So might as well have "Big Dreams"! Especially if you are a little girl!
