Photo of Elon Musk Covered Up on Billboard in Odesa
A photo of Elon Musk was covered up on a billboard in Odesa thanking public figures for their perceived support for Ukraine, according to city officials on October 12. Video released by Odesa City Council shows a worker covering up the photo of Musk on a billboard that also features photos of actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Benedict Cumberbatch and Emilia Clarke. The billboard thanks those featured for their “support of Ukraine” and bears the coat of arms of Odesa. The move came over a week after Musk put a peace plan to a poll on Twitter, attracting much criticism from within Ukraine. On October 11, the political scientist Ian Bremmer tweeted that Musk told him “he had spoken with Putin and the Kremlin directly about Ukraine.” Musk denied this, saying he has only spoken to Putin once, about space.
