Many people do not try meditation because it takes practise, but it is totally normal for the monkey to start swinging during meditation!

The beautiful part about all of this is, it requires no equipment and no money. You can do it anytime, anyplace or anywhere.
How To Meditate?
Make sure you give yourself some quiet time away from phones, children, etc.
You can either sit or lay down comfortably.
Focus your attention on one thing. (You can concentrate on your breathing as you inhale deeply).
In through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Keep concentrating on your breathing and if your mind wanders, just bring it back to your breathing.
In and out, noticing your body relaxing.
If the monkey starts jumping, simply notice it, and then focus back to your breath.
The more you practice, the easier it will become.
Studies have shown that meditation improves self-image and self-worth.
When you meditate, you get a clear picture of your mind and become aware of the thoughts that drive your emotions and actions in the moment.
This helps you manifest what you want you want in your life.
Once you can get into this state you will start noticing your limiting beliefs and emotions that hold you back in life.

Treatment For Anxiety. 4-7-8 Breath
Have you heard of the four - seven - eight breath?
This is a breathing technique taken from Yoga.
It is amazing for anxiety.
For this exercise keep your tongue in the yogic position touching the tip of your tongue to the ridge of tissue just behind your upper front teeth.
Keep it there the whole time.
The exercise begins by letting all the air out through your mouth.
Breathe in through your nose to a count of four,
Hold your breath for a count of seven,
Blow air out forcefully through your mouth.
It helps if you purse your lips and make a whooshing sound while letting the air out.
Repeat this for four breath cycles.
This is what it looks like:
(watch video).
Do this at least twice a day. You can do it more frequently if you want but never more than four breath cycles at one time to begin with.
As time goes on and you get used to it, you can increase the amount of cycles.
You can also slow the whole exercise down as you practice.
What limits you is how long you can comfortably hold your breath.
As you practice, you'll get better and better at it and after doing this for 4-6 weeks you can begin using it in other areas of your life.
If somebody says something that makes you angry or frustrated, you can do this exercise before you react.
It can also help you fall asleep.
After 2 - 3 months of regular practice, there can be significant changes that happen in your body:
It can:
Lower heart rate
Lower blood pressure
Improve digestion
As well as being a powerful anti anxiety treatment.

3 Keys To Activate Your Inner Power
What are three keys you need to know to activate your INNER POWER as you journey through life?
Here are some things I have implemented into my life on my journey to feeling powerful and standing in my power.
1. Become Untouchable
There are people, circumstances and experiences that are going to be your stumbling blocks if you let them.
These things can influence your mindset and influence your consciousness, planting seeds of doubt and fear.
These things can hold you back from reaching your goals and manifesting your vision.
Protect your mindset so these things can’t influence you.
2. Become Your Own Cheerleader
In psychology there’s something called autosuggestion. This can influence your thoughts, your attitude and your beliefs.
The definition of autosuggestion: the hypnotic or subconscious adoption of an idea which one has originated oneself.
This is also called self talk.
It can also influence your physical body and how you feel at a subconscious level through your own mental programming.
Instead of speaking to yourself in a negative way saying things like, "I can’t do this," "I’m not good enough," "This will never work for me", "I’ll never reach my goal", instead start talking to yourself in a positive way.
You need to start hyping yourself up. You need to start speaking to yourself in a positive way. Saying things like; "I've got this", "I can do this", "That thing will work for me".
3. See Yourself As The Greatest Version Of Yourself
Close your eyes and imagine the greatest version of yourself. The most positive, productive, creative, highest performing version of yourself.
Make that mental picture of you crystal clear. Feel it. Think it. See it. Embody it.
The more you practice being a better version of yourself daily, weekly, monthly, the more you will become it.

Resolving Conflict
Have you noticed the world seems to be getting crazier and crazier and if you don't agree with the person you are talking to, it is so much more common these days for a conflict to arise?
People seem to be more angry than ever before.
This has been my experience but I have never been one to simply follow the crowd. I question everything!
So what can you do to resolve conflict effectively?
Here are some simple NLP techniques.
1. Dissociation From Conflict:
We call this the third perceptual position of NLP or an observer position.
This is a place of non-emotion. Once you can see yourself from a position above yourself and see yourself as if you are watching yourself having the discussion on TV, you are no longer attached to the emotions you are feeling.
If the emotions were the things driving you, you will see things from a different perspective and have a clearer point of view, gaining additional wisdom or learning.
2. Build Rapport, Pacing & Leading:
When someone is shouting or screaming at you, you must remain calm.
You can match the volume, speed and tonality of the voice of the other person, WITHOUT matching the emotions or anger that they are projecting at you.
Stay at the same volume, speed and tonality for a few minutes, then breathe and start slowing your voice down to a more gentle, calmer way of talking.
By doing this you can lead the person into a calmer and more peaceful way of communicating with you.
3. Pattern Interrupt:
Most of the time during a conflict, it is best to stop the conversation spiraling downward, to do this you can use a pattern interrupt.
How do you do this? After making a calm statement: “It is important to me that we resolve our discussion, but I need a few minutes. I am going for a walk, and will be back to resolve this problem with you in 20 minutes/hours.”
This instantly calms down the situation and gives both parties time to think about what has been said, take some deep breaths and come back to the conversation in a calmer energy.
4. Step Into The Other Person's Shoes:
The saying “you don’t understand someone until you walk a mile in their shoes” is absolutely true.
This is similar to the first exercise I showed you.
Float your awareness into how the other person feels.
Imagine seeing yourself and the other person on TV again and float down into them and feel how they are feeling and try to understand how their point of view is different to yours.
Once you can do this it will make it easier to resolve conflict because you can understand where the other person is coming from and you may feel compassion for them rather than anger.
It gives a better understanding of what they want and need out of this situation.

How To Be More Confident
There’s nothing as attractive as confidence.
People are attracted to your ENERGY!
So if you think about confidence as energy - does this make it easier for you to step out with high energy?
When you have high energy, it does not matter if you are looking the way you want to look, (know one else knows that you have not yet reached your goals). All they see is the ENERGY you omit.
Know one knows if you are having a bad hair day if you carry it with CONFIDENCE, or the ENERGY of confidence.
Know one knows how you are feeling on the INSIDE when you show them a different energy on the OUTSIDE!
It's a universal truth that when you believe in yourself, you exude all the right ENERGY and everyone can see it.
Even if you feel anxious on the inside,
Even if you feel you are having a bad hair day,
Even if you feel you are NOT looking your best,
Even if you feel you are going to fail,
You can show the world your CONFIDENT ENERGY and know one will know!
Also you can take these steps to raise your confidence to a whole new level. Research shows these tactics work!
ACKNOWLEDGE THE POSITIVE THINGS YOU DO FOR YOURSELF. - Eating right, exercising, meditation, saying kind words to yourself, etc.
DEVELOP SMALL HABITS EACH DAY THAT MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF. - Go for a walk. Positive affirmations. Listen to music for 30 minutes. Do some gardening. It all adds up incrementally.
DO A DAILY MANTRA - A positive statement about yourself that you say out loud.
These things will help you feel better!

Meditation For Healing

How Do You Manage Your Stress?
Stress and anxiety is a common experience for many people. Millions of people feel this on a daily basis.
Work, family problems, health concerns, and financial obligations are part of everyday life that commonly contribute to heightened stress levels.
Some people are more likely to become stressed than others. Your genetics, the level of social support you have, your coping style, and your personality type influence your vulnerability to stress.
Minimizing chronic stress from daily life is important for your overall health.
Chronic stress harms your health and increases your risk of health conditions like heart disease, anxiety disorders, and depression.
So if you are feeling stressed or anxious in your life. What strategy can you put into place to help calm yourself?
There are many evidence-based strategies to help you reduce stress and improve your overall psychological well-being.
Exercise, good nutrition, minimize phone use and screen time, mindfulness, spending time in nature, hugging your pet, practicing self-care, and doing something you love are all effective methods.
Some Self-Care Ideas
going for a walk outside
listening to music
taking a bath
lighting candles
sitting outside in nature
patting a dog or cat
reading a book
exercising
preparing a healthy meal
stretching
getting a massage
taking up a hobby
using a diffuser with calming fragrances
practicing Pilates or yoga
These are all great methods but do you implement them into your life?
My task for you is to write down the things you do and notice how often you do these things for yourself?
Do you do something for yourself daily? If not, why not?
As I said most people feel stressed daily to some level, doesn't it make sense to counteract the stress daily too?

How Do You Want To Show Up In The World?
Who do you want to be?

Perception is reality.
People believe what they want to see. Get into STATE - (I explain what this is in the video).
If you want to step up and be a leader there are some things that you can do to help yourself .
1. You can dress the part.
2. Act as if (role-play).
3. Say how it is. Be a straight, concise speaker.
4. Share your knowledge.
5. Listen to others.
6. Be authentic.
If you want to be a great public speaker there are things that you can do.
1. Join Toastmasters.
2. Practice.
3. Model others.
If you want to be different from your family and friends.
1. Make a decision to act differently.
2. Find your tribe. Find like minded friends that act like your family and nurture you.

Manage Depression, Anxiety & Negative Emotions
Do you want to learn how to manage depression, anxiety and negative emotions?
Your beliefs are made up of data or evidence you have taken on.
You can take on beliefs from your parents, peers, family, workmates, religion, and experiences you have had.
Not all of your beliefs are positive. So how do you change them?
You can do behavioral experiments that gather evidence to prove your belief is right.
This is how we believe what we believe now - we have enough evidence that we are correct. (Are we really though)?There are many ways of looking at the same thing.
Our thoughts tend to be mood congruent. In other words when we're sad, we have sad thoughts. When we're anxious, we have anxious thoughts. When we're angry, we have angry thoughts and so on.
When you're experiencing a strong negative emotion, by default your automatic thoughts are going to be negative in a way that reflects the emotion you are feeling.
It is not easy to believe or even remember the less negative thoughts that made sense when you weren't feeling that way.
Your Beliefs Are Resistant To Change!
If we've been thinking in a negative way for years changing these thoughts takes a while and new ways of thinking usually require some concrete evidence to back them up.
Some of this evidence can come from past experiences that you had where the negative thoughts you held to be true turned out not to be accurate.
You can also look for new evidence that supports your new belief.
For Example:
If there's something coming up that you're anxious about and you tell yourself it's not going to be as bad as you think, it can still be hard to believe.
But if what you were anxious about turns out to not be as bad as you'd feared, the next time you find yourself in a similar situation the thought might be, it won't be as bad.
It is going to be easier for you to believe because now you have some data and evidence from your real life to back it up.
Sometimes to change a thought, you need more evidence than this one experience, especially if you have believed this for years.
So you can set up behavioral experiments to gather more evidence that either supports or doesn't support your new less negative thoughts.
Let's look at some examples:
You can start by writing down your old habitual automatic negative thoughts.
Let's stick with the theme of anxiety.
You might have thoughts like: "I am going to get anxious if I do that. I can feel my breathing getting heavier, I am going to have a panic attack".
Now you need to create a behavioral experiment to test this hypothesis or new thought and if it's your first experiment testing out this new thought you want to pick something that's not going to cause you too much anxiety.
Something where the stakes are relatively low. That way you can feel comfortable enough to make sure you go through with it.
So maybe it is driving to a new place. Your thought could say, "I am going to get lost."
So you pick a place on the map, (take your map with you in case you need) and aim to get to the destination. Then you run the experiment. You get into your car, and arrive at your destination.
You drive straight to your destination.
Then note how much the outcome supports the thought you were testing.
In this case it supports it 100%.Then ask yourself what have I learned from this experiment?
You have learned that you can drive somewhere new without getting lost.
You have learned that you can drive somewhere new without getting anxious.
You have learned that doing something different made you proud (insert emotion) of yourself.
You can drive somewhere new without getting anxious and there is no negative consequence!
This is a simple example but that's what you're aiming for.
If the experiment would put you in a highly anxious state, the thought of doing that at this stage is probably going to make you too anxious and you may back out.
So once you have done this, experiment with something else. Something small.
Collect new data to back up your new thought.
The more you practice small things that make you a little anxious and prove your old thought a lie, the more you are building up new data that supports your new belief.
After you have enough data your new belief may be, "I can do this"!
Then you can find a situation where the stakes are a little higher.

How To Raise Your Vibration To Change Your Reality!
Do you know you can change your energy, vibration or state in any moment?
Lets do an exercise...
Imagine being in a parallel reality.
In one reality you feel exhausted, anxious, depressed, fearful and in the other you are happy, have heaps of energy, feel calm and fulfilled.
One reality is your old self.
The other reality is your new self.
In the old self you think, feel, and act one way.
Your new self thinks, feels, and acts a different way.
However you think, feel, and act, it becomes a big magnet for your reality.
You attract more of what you are on the inside.
You can choose to be the BEST version of yourself! The thing that will keep you from changing more than anything else, is your beliefs.
Your beliefs create your reality.
Imagine that we all have an energy field around us, (which we all do).
Imagine a wave of energy that is going out of your heart.
That wave of energy is lead by your beliefs.
Your beliefs tell you what you are experiencing,
They can tell you,
I am worthy
I am strong
I am loved
I am supported
or they can tell you negative things.
There is a wave of energy that is constantly being projected out.
And when you go out into the world, your reality is being reflected based on that filter.
The key is, if you want to change your reality, you must change the energy wave.
You must change the way you are responding in your reality and what you are projecting out.
Your reality is a direct reflection of the beliefs you have about who you are, and how you relate to your reality.
You have beliefs and stories about love, relationships, money, abundance, health, and these things are are overlaying your reality.
If you want to create a permanent change in vibration, the key to this is getting to the core and becoming aware of your energy waves, and beliefs, then making a choice to change them.
Awareness comes first. Then choice. Then the transformation to shifting your vibration happens.
Once you can shift to the new vibration, you can then wire in a new way of being.

Secrets To Living A Happier Life.
Do you know your brain is focused on survival? If you want anything more than that, you have to work for it! That is why happiness is often elusive!
Your brain is simply not wired that way! Instead, your brain has evolved to survive, to protect you and keep you safe. You may have moments of elation and periods of contentment and bliss, but many of us are plagued with persistent negative emotions!
So how do you find more joy in your life? PRACTISE - just like anything else worthwhile!
You have to reset your baseline. It won't happen overnight!
Here are my top 5 tips to being happier.
Focus On The Positive.
To find long-term happiness, you need to retrain your brain from a negative (survival) mindset to a positive mindset.
Try this: Spend two minutes looking for positives in your life. Do this 2 times a day for 30 days and your brain will start doing it automatically.
Find Your Work–Life Balance.
Work takes up a lot of your day, but it shouldn’t be the only thing you do. It’s important to pursue activities and interests beyond your job. Do you have a hobby? Are you spending time with your friends and loved ones? Are you getting exercise? Creating balance in your life will reduce stress and give you other outlets to express yourself and have fun.
Practice Mindfulness.
Mindfulness mediation works by bringing your awareness and attention to the present moment. It’s about being non-judgmental and accepting how you are feeling. Practicing mindfulness means being present, aware and curious. Accepting what you are going through decreases stress and helps you see situations for what they are.
Be Creative.
Those who spend time using their imagination and being creative have more enthusiasm and are more likely to have feelings of long-term happiness and well-being. Such creative activities can include writing, painting, drawing, dancing and music.
Live In The Moment.
Your thoughts and feelings often revolve around the past or the future. Reality is what you are experiencing in this very moment; what you are going through right now. Sometimes we want to escape that reality. But when we stay in the present, we are fully engaged in our lives.

Why Should You Stand Up And Give Your Opinion?
Have you ever experienced a time where you felt you wanted to say something, but you swallowed your words, because you didn’t want to stand up and be seen as being different from the crowd?
Have you been in a meeting at work and you knew your team is going in the wrong direction, but you felt you could not put in your ideas forward, so you kept quiet?
Have you ever spoken to a friend who has a different opinion than you, you know how you can help them, but you decided to swallow your words, because you know they would not listen?
I know many of us have been in this situation.
I wonder what it is that prevents you from saying and what you think and feel?
Maybe you experienced past trauma. Maybe in the past you got into trouble when you spoke up? Or worse you got hurt when you answered back?
Maybe you are shy and don’t feel that you want to stand out in the crowd?
Maybe your opinion is to not rock the boat, and decide to blend in with everyone else?
Of course these are valid ways of being, but creating change needs a new way of looking at things.
If you want to be a leader you need to think and act differently to the people around you.
If you want to be a changemaker you need to use your voice, and make yourself heard.
If you want to feel powerful you need to start standing up and voicing your opinion by standing in your power.
These are all things that you can change within you. It takes time and work.
Are you worth it?
You may need to work on your past trauma and find out the reason why you want to blend in.
Maybe you need to look inside and find the reason why standing out is so scary for you.
What is it within you that prevents you from being your true self?
What is it within you that Is stopping you from stepping in your power?

Addiction. Is It Controlling You?
Addiction is the relationship between a person and an object or activity.
The object or activity becomes more important and everyday activities become less important.
Addiction is the struggle between acting on, or resisting an impulse.
We can become addicted to anything.
Drugs, alcohol, gym, food, shopping, gambling, are some of the more common addictions.
You can even be addicted to love!
When acting on these impulses we are in pursuit of a reward.
If you have an addiction, think about how it makes you feel.
Do you feel calm, excited, peaceful, high, energised, satisfied? Does it take away stress, fear or anxiety?
Know your unconscious mind is trying to HELP you when you are 'doing your addiction'.
You can help your subconscious mind to come up with strategies to replace your behaviour that give you the same feeling.
Ask yourself what are you running from?
Are you stopping yourself feeling, shame, guilt, anger, fear?
What are you unwilling to feel?

Does trauma make you stronger, or is it your CHOICES after trauma that make you stronger?
Here are my thoughts from living through my traumatic experiences.
