Dog Plays with Socks Like They're Everything
Lucy is a chihuahua mix who is all about fun. She loves playing with socks. She seeks them out and will sometimes choose to play with them over her regular toys. Lucy tosses them in the air and catches them. She’ll play of tug of war with them too. But, mostly she can keep herself busy just playing with socks all by herself.
We rescued her from the shelter as a puppy and she’s been an absolute joy. We didn’t really know how big she was going to get but it appears she’s done growing. She’s around 20 pounds. Lucy loves chasing anything and everything. Her favorite toys are noisemakers. It’s funny that she’s never been in a pool but she does seem to like water – except when it’s time for a bath. She might like to have a younger doggie friend to play with but we’re training her on how to not be afraid of other dogs. She just barks when she sees them. To say she’s high energy is an understatement. Even walking her in the morning and playing with her during the day only tires her for a few hours. Shortly after that, she’s ready for round two followed by round three. She’s a protective little girl.
She loves walks when she’s not playing with her socks. We can’t say that she’s exactly leash trained but at least she doesn’t play with the leash when we walk like she did when she was a puppy. We use a retractable leash. We are not sure if that makes a difference but it doesn’t matter, she loves the walks. She even wears her cool pink vest now that she’s older. Maybe that’s what has made walking seem less like a game and more of an adventure for her. She puts on her vest now and is ready for her next walking adventure.

Puppy Wants To Slide Down Not Sit Down For Training
Lucy is a chihuahua mix who is one smart girl. When she was a puppy and we were training her to sit she always slid down instead of sitting down. She’s much better now. It might have something to do with her long body.
We rescued her from the shelter as a puppy and she’s been an absolute joy. We didn’t really know how big she was going to get but it appears she’s done growing. Now, she’s around 20 pounds. These days she loves going for walks. We can’t say that she’s exactly leash trained but at least she doesn’t play with the leash anymore when we walk. Now we use a retractable leash. We are not sure if that makes a difference but it doesn’t matter, she loves the walks. She still wears her cool pink vest.
Lucy now has a bit of a snaggle tooth which makes her even more adorable.

Puppy Loves Her Leash But Not The Walk
Lucy is a chihuahua mix who is all about fun. When she was a puppy she was happy to wear a leash because she thought it was another toy she could play with and that’s what she does here. You can imagine how long her walks lasted when she was a puppy. She was so cute we couldn’t get mad at her for not listening.
