A Dedicated life that chooses to serve on the mission field is a personal sacrifice. Since 1980, Lowell and Claudia Wertz have been missionaries in Africa. What compels them to stay faithful and continue serving in a foreign country? While in Chicago, we had the honor of having them as our guests to share about their journey and the amazing miracles of God.

Send Me Where No One Wants to Go: The Carole Ward Story.
Send Me Where No One Wants To Go! Carole Ward was raised in a missionary home and on the mission field. She shares powerful stories of God's faithfulness and love for His people in Uganda and Sudan! While in Chicago, we had the privilege to film her sharing her story of God's calling in her life "to go where no one wants to go!" We hope this will inspire you!
Website: https://www.favorintl.org/
About Carole:
Carole Ward lives a life many would not believe is real. She dares to follow God and change nations one life at a time. Hers is the story of one woman’s commitment to her God and to the love for His people.
Her journey and her story began by stepping out in faith when she prayed with a sincere heart, “send me where no one wants to go.” Although she was told repeatedly by US authorities and other organizations she would come back in a body-bag, Carole, through her faith in the power of God has been transforming lives in Northern Uganda and South Sudan for the Kingdom of God for the last 18 years.
Sent by God to Northern Uganda and South Sudan
Carole Ward is a woman sent by God, driven by His Holy Spirit, and filled with His power in order to transform the lives of the people of Northern Uganda and South Sudan. She has lived the Book of Acts over the last 18 years in ways that have been astounding and miraculous in their dramatic and life changing impact on not just thousands of individual people in these nations, but on their governments as well. It was not with guns or soldiers that God overcame the evil of witchcraft, rebel wars, and unbelievable violence, but with her and her team’s unwavering faith and trust in a God who is stronger than the strongest evil.
Sending her where no one wanted to go, God chose a lone woman to go into Northern Uganda into the midst of unspeakable horrors of a war that had gone on for thirty years. For the last two years of that war, she was the only white woman in that part of the country since all other missionaries had fled long ago.

Bio:
Philanthropist, entrepreneur, and recording artist Willie Lee Wilson, grew up in impoverished conditions and rose to found multiple successful enterprises including Singsation!, the first nationally syndicated African-American owned and produced Gospel program on commercial television that broadcasts internationally on WGN-TV. Wilson is also one of the first black owners of a McDonald’s restaurant.
Wilson was born on June 16, 1948 in Gilbert, Louisiana. In 1970, Wilson began his career with McDonald’s doing custodial duties and mopping floors for $2 an hour. He got the opportunity to run the establishment when disgruntled employees walked out and was asked to stay on when the former managers returned. After working with McDonald’s for five years, he decided he wanted to open a McDonald’s himself and resolved to meet with McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc about the issue. Kroc agreed to give Wilson a McDonald’s restaurant after a discussion at an annual shareholders’ meeting in 1979, and with capital provided by South Shore Bank, Wilson took a suffering Chicago franchise and turned it around within a year. Wilson, while working at McDonald’s, earned honors attaining the Outstanding Store Award and Top Sales Performer Award.
In 1987, Wilson decided to start a television production company, Willie Wilson Productions, and in 1988, he was moved to pursue his faith after hearing the song, “What Shall I Render Unto the Lord?” at his church. He sold his McDonald’s restaurants to dedicate his life to Gospel music and started doing church solos and singing with the Norfleet Brothers. Ultimately, creating four albums: I'm So Grateful, Lord Don't Let Me Fail, Just A Closer Walk With Thee, Through It All and I'll Fly Away. The most recent album, I'll Fly Away is distributed by Universal and is available in stores throughout the United States. In 1989, Wilson’s Singsation! premiered, a half-hour weekly program of Gospel music. The shows’ history, artists, producers and writers are produced by his television production corporation. Singstation! is regularly hosted by Wilson and is available in over sixty million households every Sunday.
Still holding entrepreneurial ambitions, in 1997, Wilson founded Omar Medical Supplies, one of America’s fastest growing international medical supply companies and Gemini Electronics, a telecommunications company that provides competitive pricing to assist churches and non-profit community organizations in economic development and outreach.
Wilson is the recipient of a Doctor of Divinity degree from Mt. Carmel Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Humane Letters from Chicago Baptist Institute, Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism from Swisher Bible College and a Doctorate in Humanitarianism from Denver Institute of Urban Studies and Adult College. In November 2003, the Illinois State House of Representatives adopted resolution HR0491 in the 93rd General Assembly to honor Wilson’s successes as a member of the National Black McDonald's Owner Operator Association and his contributions to his community.

As Immigrants, their insight, understanding and experience living under this type of government and now appreciation and gratefulness of living in America as free citizens will move you to think more intentionally about the political and economic system of socialism.

ELTV: Save The Storks. Giving abortion-vulnerable women a choice!
Victoria Robinson, Director of External relations, with Save the Storks, came on our program to share her story of going thru an abortion, and all the events that followed leading to where she is today.
Website: https://savethestorks.com
We exist to partner with pregnancy resource centers and give abortion-vulnerable women a choice that will change their lives forever. We partner with resource centers all over the nation, providing them with powerful tools and training to more effectively connect with those women in their communities. With the support of people like you, we have built 43 Stork Buses (with 4 currently in production and 8 fundraising), and helped save over 4,000 babies.
The legendary story of the stork makes it the perfect symbol for our pro-life nonprofit. Storks represent mothers and their babies, and our commitment to caring for them by offering hope, compassion, and truth ultimately saves lives.
People are used to campaigns designed to save animals. When they hear our name, they wonder, “Who in the world would kill a stork?” Our response and branding disarms those who would criticize what we do and communicates in a winsome way that we believe abortion threatens mothers and motherhood.
About Victoria:
A non-profit specialist, public speaker, author, pro-life advocate, television personality, and former radio host, she is best known for “Real Talk with Victoria” and “The Mike and Victoria Show”. Her book, “They Lied to Us” is a compilation of stories from women who had an abortion.
Victoria has been speaking at women’s events, youth conferences and churches for almost two decades. With a no-holds barred approach and genuine personality, her messages are not only timely, but humorous, thought provoking and powerful. Victoria has been working with Pregnancy Resource Centers for over twenty years, even serving as an Executive Director at three separate locations throughout her career. She frequently shares her own testimony at PRC fundraising events and banquets, where she delivers a powerful message that challenge the listeners, while motivating them for the cause. Victoria is a mother to her four daughters, mother-in-law to three son-in-laws and “Mimi” to four grandchildren.

For Better For Worse For Keeps Ministries was founded in 2008, but perhaps was truly started 40 years ago with the marriage of Bob and Cheryl Moeller on June 16, 1979.
Bob and Cheryl met after college in seminary and were united in marriage. The Moeller family now includes six children ages 20 to 37, one son-in-law, three daughter-in-laws, six grandchildren, and two easily excited hungry granddogs, Ripley and Bella.
Both Bob and Cheryl committed their lives to Christ at a young age. Bob felt God’s call to full time Christian ministry at age 12 in Minnesota and Cheryl at age 9 in Michigan. While pastoring in the local church, their hearts were always drawn to encourage couples in their marriages. In 1992, Bob began a conference entitled For Better For Worse For Keeps Marriage Conference, Biblically based principles that come alive with personal humorous storytelling.

WHAT ARE THE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES OF THIS METHOD OF COMMUNICATION? DO YOU LEVERAGE THEM IN A WAY THAT WOULD MEET GOD'S APPROVAL? WE THINK THAT GOD HAS AN OPINION ON THIS TOPIC EVEN THOUGH THE BIBLE PRE-DATES THE INTERNET. The becoming together group will discuss.
