Early 1900s AirBNB Episode 5 : Addition and Electrical Started
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is episode 5 of our early 1900's farmhouse to AirBNB project. We've got our permit pulled for the addition on the property!! We're doing drywall work, patching door casings and uncovering some beautiful tongue and groove wooden ceilings, and priming some of the tile ceilings to give them a fresh new look. The contractor and his crew tear off the chimney, grade the land, run the new plumbing, and we pass inspection so that we can pour the slab where we'll be creating our beautiful new master suite. I'm so excited that you decided to check this video out, and I hope you'll tag along with us on this journey! Early 1900s AirBNB Episode 4 : 10ft Kitchen Ceiling Build!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is episode 4 of our early 1900's farmhouse to AirBNB project. This video focuses on the rebuilding of the kitchen ceiling, which was previously 7ft tall. We tore it out at the end of episode 3, and rebuilt it at 10ft tall. This move completely transformed the entire vibe of this property, as the kitchen a lot of times is the central point of a house. There's been plenty more demo done, and quite a bit of work heading in the right direction on this property. So make sure to check back for the next episode. I'm so excited that you decided to check this video out, and I hope you'll tag along with us on this journey! Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is episode 3 of our early 1900's farmhouse to AirBNB project. In this video we're still doing demo, but also starting to build back, and make the new vision of this property start to take shape. Early 1900’s Farm House to AirBNB Episode 2 : Demo!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is episode 2 of our early 1900's farmhouse to AirBNB project. This video's focus is demo. We tear into the kitchen, taking it down to the studs and the old pine wood floor. We also start tearing into the center bedroom, exposing what used to be the back wall of the house. It seems like everywhere we turn we're uncoving the cool history of this house! I'm so excited that you decided to check this video out, and I hope you'll tag along with us on this journey! Early 1900's farm house to AirBNB Episode 1 : Intro
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is the intro video to a new project that my father and I have decided to team up on. We bought an early 1900's farmhouse, and we're going to remodeling it, in preparation to rent it as an Airbnb. I've been wanting to purchase a house to remodel for years, and with the rise in popularity of Airbnb recently, and the desire people have to stay somewhere that's an experience, and not just an overnight stay, it's peaked my interest even more. The layout of this house is a bit off, but we have a good plan for how to optimize this house to it's full potential! Thanks for checking this video out, and I hope you'll tag along with us on this journey! If you aren't already please subscribe to the channel to keep up with this series, as well as other projects we've got going on.

Atomstack P7 Portable Laser Engraver Review!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You!
In this video I'm reviewing the 5W Atomstack P7 M40 portable laser engraver. This engraver was provided to me free of charge. I currently own an Xtool D1, 10W laser engraver, so my perspective on this Atomstack machine is biased-free. I try a couple different materials and explain my likes and dislikes about this little engraver. I hope what I provide is helpful to someone, if you're interested in purchasing an engraver of your own. If you enjoyed this video, give it a thumbs up. If you aren't already I hope you'll subscribe to the channel and follow along in this journey.

Building a tiny farmhouse table!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You!
In this video I'm building a "tiny farmhouse table". I built this table out of some beautiful 2 x 6 white oak, and built a single pedestal leg with x-brace feet and knee braces, top and bottom. The oak is stained in provincial to match the hardwoods throughout their house, and the edge of the table is routed with a double step route to match the edge of the granite on the kitchen island. I'm thrilled with the finished product, and I'm pretty sure the customer loves how this cool little table fits the area! If you enjoyed this video, give it a thumbs up. If you aren't already I hope you'll subscribe to the channel and follow along in this journey.

How to replace a sliding door screen for $30!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You!
In this video I show you how to replace the screen on a sliding screen door. This is a lot cheaper than replacing the entire door, and really not that difficult of a fix. The materials to do this are right around $30, and it can take as little as about 15 minutes. I hope you guys enjoy the video. If so, please feel free to give it a like. My first end grain cutting board! Not exactly a how to...
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You!
In this video I show you how I made my first end grain cutting board. This isn't exactly a how to video, however you can learn from my mistakes and not make the same ones that than I did. A friend of mine, who's also my preacher, challenged me to make a brisket sized end grain cutting board....and I can't back down from a challenge. I'm glad I went for it, and I'm pumped with how this board turned out. He loves the board, and it's getting plenty of good use these days! I hope you guys enjoy the video. If so, please feel free to give it a like. I'd also love it if you'd subscribe to the channel, and tag along with our journey.

Building a Hall Tree!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You!
In this video we're building a hall tree for my buddy's wife's birthday. This is the first hall tree I've ever built, and it was a ton of fun. I'm pumped with how it turned out, and my buddy's wife loved it! It's a "built in" style hall tree, and in an attempt to define the space, but not close in the foyer and block your line of vision to the front door, we used 1x4's for the side supports. Below is a material list for this build. I hope you guys enjoy the video. If so, please feel free to like it. I'd also love it if you'd subscribe to the channel, and tag along with our journey.
Hall Tree Material List :
2 sheets ½ (15/32) plywood
3 pieces of 1x4x8' (pre primed)
1 piece of 1x3x8' (pre primed)
6 pieces of 1x2x8' (pre primed)
1 piece of 2-1/4 pime wood casing (pre primed)
1 piece of 3/4” quarter round (pre primed)
1 1x16x6'
Primed with Kilz 2
Painted with Sherwin Williams Showcase (White)
Bench top stained with Minwax dark walnut

Tiki Bar Lava Epoxy Pour! (I was nervous)
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You! This project was an absolute blast! I was asked to help create a backlit epoxy bar top, for a tiki bar that Mike has been building over the last year and a half, as his retirement project. Charcuterie Board Engraved and Epoxy'd!
In this video I tried an idea that I had, and after a little trial and error, it turned out pretty ok. I engraved a black walnut charcuterie board, and then poured epoxy resin in the engraving. I'd seen something similar done with a CNC router, but I thought doing it this way would be a fun experiment. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and I hope to do some more of them. I hope y'all enjoy the video! If you do, please give it a thumbs up, and if you're not already, please subscribe to the channel. We'd love for you to tag along on our journey! Garage Makeover Part 2 - DIY Garage Window Shelf
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is the second video in a 3 part garage makeover. In this video we're building a fairly easy shelf under a window out of 2 x 4's and 1/2" plywood (15/32...whatever). It cost less than $100, and it took less than half a day to build. It's great extra room for gas cans, fishing poles, working on plants, and it can even be used as a serving area if you enjoy entertaining. If you enjoy the video, please give it a thumbs up. DIY Live Edge Coat Rack
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You! In this video we're making a black walnut live edge coat rack for my parents foyer. This was a super fun project, and I love how it turned out with the style of their foyer. The slab that I used was about 4' long, 15" wide, and 2+" thick. I planed it down to about 1-1/2" to bring out the dark grain, and cut a square edge on 3 sides, leaving the live edge facing downward. I liked this video, please give it a thumbs up. The hooks I used are from Amazon (no affiliation or kick back, I just like this style) : https://www.amazon.com/Rustic-Coat-Hooks-Wall-Mounted/dp/B07DPHG1HX/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1KO69DOJVNVLY&keywords=rustic+coat+hooks+10+pack+antique&qid=1642633941&sprefix=rustic+coat+hooks+10+pack+antique%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-2

Your wife is right, you and your friends are idiots.
This is just a short video to say that your wife was right about you and your friends, you are indeed idiots. We can argue all we want, but at the end of the day we know the truth.

DIY Board And Batten Half Wall!!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You! In this video we create a board and batten half wall in our breakfast area, painted a crisp blue / gray with a black walnut cap rail on top. This totally transformed the room, and if it weren't for a little hishap, would have been a pretty cheap, fairly easy project. We learned some stuff....as you'll see....and we had a blast doing this. We hope you liked it as well. If you did please give it a like. If you aren't already, subscribe to our channel, and follow along in our journey! Thanks for checking it out!
We made our cap rail 57" above the floor, as this lines up with the ledge on our cabinet doors, making this height pleasing to the eye. The wall is 106" wide. In the video I say that all the vertical pieces are 1 x 3's. The piece beside the cabinet I actually used a 1 x 4, since I had to made large cuts out of it.
Material list for this project:
- (3) Primed 1 x 4 x 8'
- (3) Primed 1 x 3 x 8'
- (2) 1 x 4 x 8 pieces of black walnut (had to create a seam, not shown in the video)
- (1) Quart Sherwin Williams - Emerald Line - Tempest Skies HGSW3332 (Satin Finish)
- Polycrylic waterbase satin finish sealer for black walnut cap rail

Balancing Wine Bottle Holder - A way to say thanks!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You! In this video we show you how to make a balancing wine bottle holder, but more than just that I'd like to say thank you to one of my best friends, Daniel, for always pushing me and encouraging me to chase my dreams. A long time ago Daniel said I should make a video on these wine bottle holders, so here we are. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below.
To make one of these, it's fairly simple:
-You need a piece of wood roughly 3" wide (or wider) x 9" long (or longer) x 3/4" thick. You may be able to use thinner, but I wouldn't trust it to hold a glass bottle.
-The bottom of the board get's cut at a 45 degree angle.
- You drill a 1-1/4" hole 7" on center from the bottom of the board, centered side to side with the base.
The rest is up to you, so use your imagination! This works with most any standard size wine bottle. I like to make mine look like they should break (even though I know they won't). Trust me....I'm an engineer...

Building a Pantry - Turning a nook into usable space!!
Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You! In this video we turned what we call a "nook" in our dining room into a pantry. It was wasted space, and we think should have been a pantry when the house was built. This was so much fun to do, and we hope you'll enjoy the video! If you do, please give it a like. Vlog Episode 2 : Scrap Fence Wood Storage Rack
Welcome to vlog episode 2!! In this video I'm finishing up a wood storage rack, wood shed, poop building, whatever you'd like to call it, using old fence material from when we relocated our fence. This is in preparation for a load of lumber that I'm picking for some future projects, which I'm pumped about! I need a place to store the wood so that it can dry. Made a Black Walnut Beard Comb! (Don't throw away scraps)
In this video I take a couple really pretty black walnut scraps that I cut off of a counter top from another project, and turn it into a beard comb. This isn't a how to, it's just me having a little fun. The only thing I may do different on the next one, is sand down the bristle side of the comb to a sharp edge before cutting the bristles, as not to break the bristles while sanding. We hope you'll like this video, subscribe to the channel, and join us in our journey. Thanks for watching!
