I hope to make you realise the importance of choosing to sacrifice to grow muscle and sticking around long-term to reap the ultimate reward of being big and lean. Skinny fat guys don't want to feel insecure, I've been there. the best way to get that self-esteem is to build strength and see changes in the gym because you invest effort in it.

the concept of reverse role models starts with observation. see the behaviours conducted around you and if it's not positive...USE THAT!
