"People here thought there was no way we could risk seeing what happened in other parts of the country (the far right violence against Muslims and immigrants), there was no way the people of Bedford were going to allow that." Dilly Hussain explains why his home town of Bedford decided to take a stand yesterday against far-right thugs who threatened to march there.

"The agenda of the far right is to make Muslims violent." Sheikh Asrar Rashid and Shakeel Afsar give advice to Muslims in Birmingham about how to react to far right provocation.

"We should start monitoring our mosques and madrasahs and imprison or deport our extremist imams." On July 25 Baron Pearson addressed the House of Lords and targeted Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He also called for the burqa to be banned and accused "Islamists" of trying to take over the UK by stealth.

A police officer has been filmed brutally kicking and stamping on the head of a Muslim man lying on the ground defenceless at Manchester Airport. The video shows a young male on the ground being tased by one officer while another officer is seen kicking and stomping on his head. A Muslim woman, identified in some social media posts as the young man’s mother, is seen attempting to protect him. The footage also shows the same officer ordering another male, who was seated on a bench, to get down. As the man complied, the officer kicked him in the knee and then in the head.

Raza Jama Mosque in India's Maharashtra was vandalized and its Qurans were burned in an arson attack by Hindu extremists who were shouting slogans like "Jai Shri Ram." The thugs targeted the mosque alleging it was illegally constructed.

London police officers were filmed appearing to assault a pro-Palestine campaigner who posed no physical threat in the borough of Tower Hamlets on July 12. Later, over 100 angry protestors gathered outside Bethnal Green Police Station demanding the release of a pro Palestine campaigner, Waseem Yusuf. Yusuf was eventually released without charge.

Yvonne Ridley, a renowned British journalist and author who converted to Islam after her release from Taliban captivity, has returned to politics and is going on the offensive against Starmer's Labour. Yvonne hopes she will lead a rebellion against Labour's hold on Newcastle, running as an independent candidate in Newcastle Central & West.

Azad Ali and Muhammad Rabbani, as well as three other CAGE international staff, were arrested outside Westminster Magistrates Court this morning for holding up satirical "coconut" signs. Around 50-70 people attended a protest outside the court in solidarity with Marieha Hussain who appeared today charged with a racially aggravated offence after she compared Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman to coconuts. Police arrived at the protest at around 9.30 am and then proceeded to make arrests. It is believed the CAGE staff are being held at Hammersmith Police Station.
