VHS started back in the late 70s bringing movies home for people to enjoy. It created a culture of movie rental stores. Before movie streaming was a thing, people would race down to their favorite rental store to grab the newest release. Some stores had popcorn, drinks, movie sized candy and more. The experience created topics to talk about at school or work. Renters Republic will cover movies from the early days, year to year. Some movies will be very well known. Some will be less well known. We hope you will enjoy this journey as the rental community unites to talk about the movies they know, loved and may have even forgotten about. The good side.....there are no late fees here.
