Larry Bowen had a long career in the US Navy. In his second year in the Navy, he was aboard the spy ship, _USS Liberty_. On 8 June 1967, Israel attacked the ship for reasons which are still not known.
Larry tells the story of how the administration of Lyndon Johnson worked to cover up the attack. He tells the story of how fighter planes were sent out to help the _USS Liberty_ and that the planes were ordered to return on two separate occasions. He also tells the story of how the survivors of the attack were ordered to say nothing about it.
Larry also tells the story of his own life and the lives of his shipmates since the attack.
