Description
In days of old the Town Crier (also called a Bellman) was used to make public announcements in the streets. Criers often dressed elaborately, and stood out well in any crowed town square. Prior to widespread public literacy (reading and writing), Town Criers were the means of communicating with the local people. Proclamations, bylaws, market days, advertisements, and more were all proclaimed by a Bellman or Crier. Thus TLB Project uses the Town Crier in the same light … a provider of critical news for all to see or hear … Welcome to the Town Square ,,,
