"News International" was a British media company, formerly part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, which owned several prominent newspapers, including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun, and The News of the World. It was involved in numerous controversies, particularly around phone hacking and unethical journalism practices, leading to the closure of The News of the World in 2011. The company was later restructured into News UK, a subsidiary of News Corp.
